Made in Texas
The EPL-PT-150LED-RT-LV-SOL-C1D1.C1D2 Explosion Proof Solar-powered LED Fixture from Larson Electronics is ideal for illuminating hazardous locations and remote industrial facilities. This lighting system consists of an explosion proof, 150-watt LED lamp, two 190-watt solar panels and an external Class I, Division 2 enclosure, which houses two, 250aH batteries and controls. A slip fit yoke mount allows operators to adjust the positioning of the light directly over the target area.
The EPL-PT-150LED-RT-LV-SOL-C1D1.C1D2 is a sustainable lighting solution for illumination in hazardous locations. An explosion proof, 150-watt LED lamp provides 17,500 lumens of white light with a color temperature rating of 5,000K. Featuring a flood beam pattern, the low voltage unit can accommodate wide spaces. Powering the LED luminary are two 190-watt solar panels and two, 250aH batteries. The explosion proof light is constructed of cast aluminum with a hardened borosilicate glass lens.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. Solid state LED lighting is also safer for the environment as LEDs are 100% recyclable. And recycling simultaneously reduces operating costs by eliminating the need for the expensive special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Battery/Solar Panels: Charged by two 190-watt rated solar panels, two 12V 250aH 8D batteries provide constant, reliable power to the LED fixture. As with all solar powered equipment, charging time is affected by the amount of available ambient light. Indirect sunlight and low ambient light levels, such as on cloudy days, will extend the charge time.
The valve regulated lead acid batteries and controls are contained within a heavy-duty remote enclosure that is powder coated aluminum for corrosion resistance and includes pad-lockable hasps. The Class I, Division 2 enclosure is equipped with circuit breakers for short circuit protection.
Mounting: The explosion proof light features an adjustable swivel bracket constructed of 3/8" aluminum that allows over 270° of adjustment and is attached to a slip fit yoke mount for easy installation. The slip fit yoke caters to customer`s specs, enabling operators to mount this explosion proof LED light to their specific pole size. For example, selecting a 2" OD mount means that the yoke mount will fit onto pipes or bull horns with a 2" OD.
During installation, operators may mount the solar panels away from the LED lamp on a pole, allowing optimized positioning for direct exposure to sunlight (not in the hazardous area). Standard installation for explosion proof lighting, including threaded rigid pipe to the LED light fixture and appropriate seal-offs, etc. are required.
Wiring: The EPL-PT-150LED-RT-LV-SOL-C1D1.C1D2 ships with 40 feet of 12/2 SOOW cord, consisting of 20` 12/2 SOOW cord between the solar panels and battery enclosure, and 20` 12/2 SOOW cord between the battery enclosure and the explosion proof LED lamp. Custom lengths are available upon request. Please contact us for special requirements.
Applications: Paint spray booths, aircraft maintenance, oil drilling rigs, refineries, solvent and cleaning areas, gas processing plants, chemical manufacturing, waste treatment plants, agricultural sites, grain storage facilities and more.

Return & Refund Policy
For All non-Larson Products If you are not satisfied with a product, contact us by emailing or call 1-844-787-LITE within 30 days of receipt. A refund may be arranged excluding freight charges upon inspection. Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition, and are subject to 25% restocking fee. PuriLite inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, used or non-resalable items. Your only obligation is the freight charge and restocking fee, provided your return is complete with original packaging, all documentation, warranty cards, cables etc. PuriLite reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days have passed from the order date. If the product is accepted after this period, it is subject to a 25% restocking fee and credit will be issued toward future purchases only.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable for all returns. The customer may also be responsible for return shipping charges, insurance and shipment tracking for returned merchandise.
Once you place an order, the following products are non-returnable: custom-cut, customer built or special order items (such as matting, slings, cranes, prefab offices, buildings, mezzanines, assembled lockers and regularly stocked items such as generators, pressure washers, water and trash pumps, snow throwers, radio headsets, striping paint, line stripers, floor care machines, vacuums, custom fabric chairs, forklifts) your order is considered non-cancellable and any custom-cut, customer built or special order items purchased by you are also non-returnable. Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable. There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface).
Leased and hazardous items are also non-returnable. Contact customer service for a complete list of applicable products.
Larson product return policy Every order is tested prior to shipping. The product is tested before it is put into the shipping box, crate, pallet, etc. Larson take pictures and videos of every product for every order being shipped, and store these pictures and videos with the order number in our system. Because of the complexity of some of our products, we have a very limited return policy.
For safety reasons, we do not accept returns on any hazardous location, explosion proof or intrinsically safe products. Once these products leave the factory, we cannot be sure what happens to them. We must re-build and re-certify the units to specification to ensure that the next customer receives an item that is safe to use. This is cost prohibitive. For that reason, we do not accept returns on classified products. We do not accept returns on transformers, phase converters, or frequency converters. In order to install one of the aforementioned products, typically customers will modify the product (i.e. penetrate the housing to make connections, punch out knockouts, remove or damage tinning on lead wires during installation). Because we video test every unit before it ships to ensure the unit operates as described, we know when they leave here the units are operationally functional and meet the output voltage when supplied with the input voltage per the product specification. To be clear, we do not accept returns on these items under any circumstances for these reasons.
Products that are not addressed in the above two conditions must be returned in new, unused condition.
Below are some additional considerations:
Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component. Because of this risk, all electrical products returned will undergo electrical testing and assessed a testing fee. This fee will be subtracted from the final return value.
Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable.
Products that contain emergency backup components are subject to very narrow warranty terms and do not qualify for return. For customer convenience, we engage the battery pack prior to shipping all emergency backup products. Many times, particularly with hazardous location rated products, the battery packs are difficult to access and the customer generally plans to install the units shortly after receipt of the shipment. Battery backup components using older technologies (Nicad, NIMH, SLA, etc) will fail quickly if they do not maintain valid grid tie support. In other words, the batteries must receive a consistent maintained charge to perpetuate long lifespans. Battery backup products that are shelved (not installed) for periods greater than 3 weeks will likely fail and need replacement sooner. This replacement will not be covered under warranty. This can also occur is the units are installed but the grid tie option is not connected correctly. Customers can specify that they do not want the battery pack to be engaged at the time of ordering if they plan to shelve the units for long periods of time prior to installation.
There are many products on the site and not all pictures depict the exact configuration of each product. Many products are custom built and/or built on demand. In some cases, products are designed and not sold immediately and rendering may be used. In all cases, the end product is built to the specification listed and the pictures shown may be close approximations. Pictures are more likely to be close approximations with more complex products, including transformers, power distribution systems, control systems, light tower systems and other highly customizable products. In no way does the approximation validate a potential return. We always build to the specification. If customers have questions, they should ask prior to purchase to clarify.
There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface)
Many international orders, specialty orders and other complex build orders require prepayment in advance. This prepayment represents a commitment to the order. Cancelling the order will result in a deduction from the original amount paid if any refund is available, since an investment of time and money is typically required to acquire materials and prepare the order. While not all orders in this category require prepayment, cancellation fees may apply to other build orders as well. The percentage of the deduction is at Larson’s discretion but usually ranges from 30 to 50%.
