The HALD-48-4X12IPS-C-OXM-R2-RMPA from Larson Electronics is a Hazardous Location LED Signal Light and Siren that provides operators with a clean room rated and hosedown approved warning solution to signal certain conditions within Class I, Division 2 rated environments. The sign is equipped with a green "OK" signal on the left side and a red "low oxygen" signal on the right side. An included horn has 8 different tones and can reach a peak output of 110 dBA. Voltage options include: 120V AC, 240V AC or 24V DC.

The HALD-48-4X12IPS-C-OXM-R2-RMPA is a light and siren signaling system for combustible sites. Equipped with an explosion proof siren that activates when low O2 signal is provided to the light, the each sign is illuminated by 3,000 lumens of high-intensity LED light. This sign also features a separate control wire for independent on/off control. In the default configuration, the system glows green on the left side when the environment is safe or "OK" to be in and glows red on the right side when low oxygen levels are detected. Custom colors and sign phrases are available upon request for additional applications.
The light housing is constructed from strong and durable steel with a white powder coated finish. The flat lens is built from polycarbonate. The housing for this LED clean room signal light is approved for wet locations and is safe for hosedown operations.
The HALD-48-4X12IPS-C-OXM-R2-RMPA hazardous area LED signal light is sealed and rated for FS 209E and ISO 14644 cleanroom applications and is approved for use within clean rooms and other areas that require little or no contamination within the work environment. The flat-surface design makes it ideal for hosedowns in clean room applications. There are no crevices or other areas to worry about during the hosedown and cleaning process. The polycarbonate lens is gasketed and the back of the fixture is also gasketed for wall mount sealing.
The LEDs in this hazardous area clean room approved LED light are Cree LEDs that have been chosen for their high lumen per watt ratio and extreme long life. These Cree LEDs provide over 125 lumens per watt output and have a 70% lumen retention at 50,000 hours, giving them better efficiency and operational life than comparable LEDs. Each LED module can produce up to 3,000 lumens while drawing only 24 watts, for a maximum of 6,000 lumens at 48 watts when both sides are illuminated.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Siren: The included explosion proof siren provides operators in hazardous locations with an effective and powerful alert/signal system that can withstand demanding conditions and be heard over the operation of industrial machinery. This unit includes 8 different tones, which can reach a peak output of 110dBA and can be remotely operated for priority alerts.
