This beam provides a high-intensity dose of UV-C light to people passing through the doorway. This brief exposure offers an additional layer of germ killing safety to anyone who walks through the doorway above which the IND-DBL-FUVC-EX-24-1L-R1-120V is installed and helps to effectively control the airborne transmission of microorganisms between areas. This hospital grade stainless steel door barrier germicidal fixture features a 40-watt UV excimer lamp that produces far-UVC output at a wavelength of 222nm. The IND-DBL-FUVC-EX-24-1L-R1-120V is designed to be mounted above a doorway, operates on 120V AC current, and is hard wired. Multiple units can be mounted in tandem to cover wider doorways. *Please note: This product produces UV light. Make sure to follow all safety guidelines and protocols found in the user manual. This door barrier germicidal fixture provides 170 microwatts per square centimeter at three feet below the fixture and 30 microwatts per square centimeter at floor level when mounted above a seven foot tall door. Operation: This high output UV door barrier germicidal fixture projects ultraviolet rays into the doorway it is mounted above. Bacteria and viruses present in the air that passes through the UV rays produced by the fixture are destroyed. The IND-DBL-FUVC-EX-24-1L-R1-120V projects a beam of UV-C light straight down from above the doorway to the floor. Far-UV 222 nm light is considered to be eye and skin safe for humans, allowing the lamps to be used in occupied areas safely with minimum risk. The 222 nm wavelength does not penetrate the cornea of the eye and cannot impose corneal impairment.
