Made in the USA The Larson Electronics LEDWL-ZN-CRN-BLU-PA-WR-KT LED Crane Zone Light Package is suitable for illuminative safety and audio-based alerts on cranes in busy work sites, such as construction, large-scale shipping operations and manufacturing plants (overhead cranes). This LED lighting kit features a blue LED zone light for visual signaling, an audible horn for audio-based notifications, power converter, wireless remote and control box. The LEDWL-ZN-CRN-BLU-PA-WR-KT is a powerful LED zone light kit for cranes and operational safety in industrial facilities. This system includes a blue LED zone light, audible horn, power converter, wireless remote and control box. Voltage options for this unit includes the following: 120-240V AC or 24V DC. The entire system can be controlled using the wireless remote. The 27-watt LED crane safety lamp emits 2,350 lumens of blue light during use. Compared to a laser safety light, the LED fixture provides a wider zone line for enhanced visibility and detection. At a height of 15 feet, the LED lamp provides a 30` x 1.5` beam configuration. Operating on 10-100V DC, the LED pedestrian safety light is compatible with a range of standard low voltages, including 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V. Constructed of die-cast aluminum alloy, the LED pedestrian safety light features a polycarbonate lens. A heavy-duty crane may incorporate this LED light at the front, back or both ends of the structure. Alternatively, operators may also install a red version of this zone light (LEDWL-ZN-CRN-RED) for multi-colored safety lighting or as a standalone blue crane safety lamp.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.   Heat Management: Heat is the single largest factor in premature LED failure and color shifting. These LED units contain advanced drivers which use pulse width modulation to control heat buildup rather than simple voltage regulators which are typically harsh on sensitive electronics and can contribute to early LED failure. These units automatically sense the temperature of each LED and adjust the energy frequency or "duty cycle" accordingly to maintain heat levels within acceptable ranges. This system in essence flashes current at an extremely fast on and off rate to each LED based upon the LED’s core temperature. This flash rate is too fast to detect with the human eye, but provides precise control of the current flowing to each LED and thus the heat it generates. This allows the LEDs to be driven at up to 100% capacity without overheating or visible loss of light output. The LEDs are always driven at the same voltage but the duty cycle, however, is changed to alter how long the LEDs are actually on or off. The end result is more light with less heat and longer LED life with an average 70% lumen maintenance after 50,000 hours. Durability: As well as unparalleled heat control, the LEDP WRE series of LED lights from Larson Electronics also offer IP68 rated construction that is designed to withstand extremes of environmental and operating conditions. These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, are waterproof to three meters and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The housings are formed from extruded aluminum and the lenses are unbreakable polycarbonate. The CREE XLamp XM-L® LEDs offer resistance to shocks and vibrations and are rated at 70% lumen maintenance after 50,000 hours of use. Audible Horn: The industrial horn provides operators with an effective and powerful alert/signal system that can withstand demanding conditions and be heard over the operation of industrial machinery. Designed for notifications inside industrial buildings, warehouses, outdoor work sites and commercial facilities, the entire unit is finished in durable grey powder coat for resistance against corrosion and marine rated for wet environments. This system component includes 8 different tones which can reach a peak output of 112dB @ 10 feet. This allows alarms originating from the horn to be heard as far as 350 feet away (maximum). Capable of remote operation for priority alerts, the housing on this unit is constructed of heavy-duty metal. This power converter features an IP64 rated waterproof design, making it suitable for indoor or outdoor use and includes integral short circuit and overload protection that will shut down the unit in case of faults and overloads to protect the unit and connected equipment from damage. This converter comes with a straight blade plug on the input lead and a two pin Deutsch connector on the output lead, allowing users to simply plug the unit into a typical wall outlet, then connect any of our 12 volt lights equipped with Deutsch connectors. Mounting: The LED light can be mounted on cranes and surfaces using two included 304L stainless steel brackets located at the bottom of the LED lamp, which can be secured using two screws (holes provided). Once mounted, operators can adjust the position of the LED zone light accordingly to match their preferences. The horn is mounted via an omni directional bracket, which allows mounting to flat surfaces and vertical adjustment of the horn for secure placement and optimum sound direction. The metal enclosure holding the electrical components of the horn/strobe can be mounted to flat surfaces.
