Made in the USA The HALP-48-1L-LED-RPS-M-120V from Larson Electronics is a Rechargeable Hazardous Area LED Light Fixture that is U.S./Canada approved Class I Division 2 Groups A, B, C and D, UL 1598A listed, has a T4C temperature rating, and is specifically designed to handle the rigors of wet and corrosive marine environments. This fixture is equipped with a rechargeable battery that provides 90 minutes of runtime from a full charge. The HALP-48-1L-LED-RPS-M-120V takes 24 hours to recharge when plugged in via the 5' 16/3 SOOW cord terminated in an explosion proof cord cap. The HALP-48-1L-LED-RPS-M-120V rechargeable hazardous area LED light fixture is designed for use in wet areas and saltwater/marine environments where corrosion resistance is critical to equipment longevity and safety. This Class I Division 2 rated fixture is constructed of non-corrosive materials including a polyester housing reinforced with glass fiber, a poured in gasket for reliable sealing and an impact resistant acrylic diffuser. Corrosion resistant stainless steel latches secure the lamp cover to the housing and provide a firm lock against the poured in seal to prevent drips and water intrusion. This fixture is NRTL certified to UL 844 and UL 924 and is Class I Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D approved. The HALP-48-1L-LED-RPS-M-120V also carries a NRTL certified UL 1598A outdoor marine rating and meets US Coast Guard specifications.
We have eliminated the ballast normally associated with fluorescent fixtures which reduces overall weight, increases lamp life to an extreme 50,000 hours and helps this LED fixture maintain a T4 temperature rating. The solid state design of the included LED lamps give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibrations and extremes in temperature as well as a lamp service life over twice that of standard T8 bulbs. The 28 watt LED lamps produce more illumination than standard T8 bulbs, but draw only 3/4 of the current. The current generation of our LED T-series style bulbs produce 30% more light than standard T8 bulbs. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. This fixture operates on rechargeable battery power and uses 120 V AC for recharging purposes. This rechargeable LED light works, mounts, and is wired like our HALP-48-2L-LED-G2 explosion proof LED light fixtures. The main difference is that we add a battery that adds rechargeable functionality to the fixture. This hazardous area light will run one bulb at 28 watts for 90 minutes at 3500 lumens. The light recharges the battery when the 5' 16/3 SOOW cord terminated in an explosion proof cord cap is connected to an outlet. The light takes 24 hours to fully recharge.

Wiring & Plug: This rechargeable hazardous area LED light fixture is equipped with 5 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an explosion proof cord cap for easy connection to explosion proof outlets for recharging the battery. Plug options include a 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for use with 120V explosion proof outlets or a 5-20 20 amp straight blade plug for use with 120V explosion proof outlets. **PLEASE NOTE** voltage ratings on plugs and outlets are MAXIMUM voltage. For low voltage applications, proper voltage must be applied to the outlet or damage to the light fixture will occur. Mounting: This corrosion resistant light fixture offers a stationary magnetic mounting system. Four 5" OD magnets, each providing 200 lb of gripping force, allow operators to temporarily mount this LED light fixture to ferrous surfaces. Suggested Applications: The HALP-48-1L-LED-RPS-M-120V is designed for marine wet and damp locations, where corrosion resistant LED lights are required. This includes petrochemical facilities, lubrication pits, oil drilling rigs, crew quarters, solvent/cleaning areas, water treatment areas, processing plants, and marine loading docks.
