' Product Overview '
The HAL-PM-SPNL-50 from Larson Electronics is a 50-watt Explosion Proof Pole Clamp Mount Solar Panel that is a high output module designed for solar-powered systems in Class I Division 2 hazardous locations. The 12V unit contains 36 crystalline silicon cells. An IP65 rated junction box is available for housing connections between the explosion proof solar panel and other system components. The HAL-PM-SPNL-50 features a pole clamp mounting system that allows operators to securely mount this panel to a vertical pole or pipe at their desired height while holding the panel at the optimum 45° angle. This explosion proof module is a crucial component in solar-powered systems. The 50-watt solar panel operates on 12V (nominal) with a module efficiency rate of 11.1 percent. At maximum power, the unit offers 17.9V and a current of 2.79A. Featuring a Class C application class, the module comes with an 8A maximum fuse rating. The lightweight unit weighs 13.2 lbs and measures 33.0" x 21.1" x 2". This solar panel is IEC and NRTL Certified to UL certified. Durability/Wiring: The HAL-PM-SPNL-50 is designed to withstand rugged, outdoor environments. The frame is constructed of silver anodized aluminum, while the back cover is made out of white polyester for insulation. For extra protection, the front cover is constructed of high transmission glass (1/8" thick). The hazardous location solar panel comes with a sturdy J-type junction box with accessible terminals for connections to other components of the solar-powered system. A total of four terminal screw connection blocks is available, capable of accepting 8-14 AWG wires. Mounting: The HAL-PM-SPNL-50 features a pole clamp mounting system. This mounting system allows this solar panel to be securely mounted to vertical poles or pipes of varying diameters. Operators simply hold the panel at the desired height on the pipe or pole and tighten the through bolts that hold the clamp and solar panel mount together around the pole. Each solar panel has two clamps (one at the top and one at the bottom) to ensure a stable mounting position. Once mounted, this solar panel is designed to hold at a 45° angle from the pipe or pole it is mounted to.
