' Product Overview '
The HLSW-SS-PB20-2PSW from Larson Electronics is an Explosion Proof Maintained Contact Switch for use in flammable facilities. Equipped with two positions, this NEMA-rated unit features normally closed and normally open contact blocks. The industrial accessory is constructed of 316 stainless steel and aluminum. The HLSW-SS-PB20-2PSW maintained contact switch is designed for panel mounting applications in combustible work sites. This 2-pole device contains explosion-protected contact blocks that are rated for voltages up to 690V AC and is capable of handling 20 amps for switching duty. Legend plate markings include OFF and ON positions. Constructed of 316 stainless steel and aluminum, this maintained contact switch has an ambient operating temperature of -50°C to +60°C and can be used in conjunction with motor starters or contactors for remote operation of motors. The explosion proof switch has one normally closed contact block and one normally open contact block. Normally closed is a contact that flows current in its normal state and normally open is a contact that does not flow current in its normal state. In the case of this switch, the normally closed contact would be labeled as "ON" because the circuit is "closed" or allowing current to flow while the normally open contact would be labeled as "OFF" because the circuit is "open" or not allowing current to flow. Wiring: The HLSW-SS-PB20-2PSW features 3/4" NPT stainless steel hubs for completing electrical connections. The explosion proof device is offered in dead-end or feed-thru configurations. Mount: This unit is compatible with panel mounting configurations. Operators may access four mounting holes at every corner of the unit during installation.
