The Larson Electronics IND-LD-4P18-24-2L-MS-120V-6C UV-C Germicidal Fluorescent Fixture disinfects 99% of viruses, bacteria, mold and spores in large facilities. This budget-friendly sanitation fixture operates on 120V AC or 120/277V AC and consists of two, T5 fluorescent lamps that each provide 5 watts of UV-C output at a range of 200nm - 280nm (254nm). The IND-LD-4P18-24-2L-MS-120V-6C is a convenient sanitation solution for general area lighting systems and commercial indoor spaces. Equipped with two T5 UV fluorescent lamps, this system offers 10 watts of total UV output, within the 200nm - 280nm UV-C range (254 nm). The lights have an expected lifespan of 8,000+ hours and emit a flood beam pattern. With two 18" long lamps, this UV system caters to a wide range of sanitation activities via 180 degrees of coverage. A white surface reflector promotes light distribution during UV treatment.
The UV light can disinfect over 99% of viruses, bacteria, mold and spores.
This unit is made out of 16-gauge powder coated steel with a white finish. A built-in on/off switch is available at the front of the unit. An included PIR motion sensor provides an extra layer of safety by deactivating the unit upon sensing movement within its line of sight. A compact remote can be used to turn the fixture on and off, as well as set 15-minute and 30-minute runtimes.
We offer a heavy-duty version of this UV-C fixture, which is designed for rugged applications (see
IND-LP-24-2L-UVC-T8-V1 for more information). This alternative is more powerful (at 18.2 watts of total UV output, compared to 10 watts of total UV output) and can cover up to 500 square feet of space during UV treatment. Effective coverage with the dual-lamp fixture depends on the mounting height. When it comes to size, this superior alternative is longer, slimmer and shorter than the budget-friendly unit. The UV-C fixture's extended size helps promote beam coverage, while its slimmer and shorter profile caters to space-saving installations. Protected by a cold rolled steel housing with a flat white polyester finish, this model does not need to be frequently replaced, as it is suitable for long-term sanitation.
Voltage/Wiring:
The UV-C sanitation fixture operates on 120V AC when using the included 6' 18/3 SJTW cord with 5-15P cord cap. Two 1/2" NPT knockouts are available for direct wiring to 120/277V AC power sources, which allows the unit to operate on 120/277V AC power.
Mount:
The IND-LD-4P18-24-2L-MS-120V-6C is compatible with surface mounting applications. Operators may access thru-holes at the back of the unit during installation. Four additional knockouts are available, which caters to different types of customer-preferred mounting requirements.
Note on Environment:
Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation.
