The VPL-MJ-4.5L-LED-ITG-WCM-3480 Vapor Proof LED Fixture from Larson Electronics is designed for rugged work sites and wet locations. The 27-watt fixture is dimmable and operates on 347-480V AC. Made out of heavy-duty, die cast aluminum with a flat, clear tempered glass lens, the unit is offered in the following mount options: Wall, Pendant or Box. The VPL-MJ-4.5L-LED-ITG-WCM-3480 is a rugged lighting solution for outdoor and commercial spaces. The 27-watt lamp operates on 347-480V AC and supports dimming functionality. During operation, the LED fixture emits 3,385 lumens of white light with a color temperature rating of 5,000K in a flood beam configuration. This lamp is an ideal replacement for 175-watt metal halide or high-pressure sodium (HPS) fixtures. This vapor proof LED light is constructed of die cast aluminum with a powder coated finish over a chromate conversion coating and a flat, clear tempered glass lens. As a luminary designed for outdoor use, the IP66-rated unit is listed for wet locations. Voltage: This light is universal voltage capable and can be operated with 347-480V AC without modifications. 347V is common in Western Canada, while 480V is common in the United States and Eastern Canada. The drivers in this unit provide the ability to automatically monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. These lights can operate on current ranging from 347V to 480V 50/60Hz without any modifications necessary as a result. This ability to sense and adjust input current also provides protection against voltage spikes and drops that can occur in electrical systems which would otherwise result in burning up or premature LED failure without it. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Mounting: The VPL-MJ-4.5L-LED-ITG-WCM-3480 features a selection of 3/4" NPS threaded mounts. The height of the LED lamp may vary, based on the type of mount selected: Box (8.5" x 7.25"), Pendant (9.25" x 7.25") or Wall (12" x 7.5" x 7.25"). The recommended mounting height for this unit ranges between 8` and 14`.
