The Larson Electronics EXP-LED-HL-HC-MX2 Intrinsically Safe Multi-Function LED Headlight is ideal for a wide variety of uses including Industrial Safety, Public Works & Utilities, Law Enforcement, Hardware/Tool, Automotive, Marine, Sporting Goods and Consumer Applications. Two, high-intensity CREE LED emitters mounted within a lightweight housing provides up to 16 hours of useable light. A stainless steel clip with an adhesive bracket base provides strapless mounting on hard hats and compatible surfaces.

The EXP-LED-HL-HC-MX2 explosion proof LED headlight produces an intense light beam while providing up to 16 hours of illumination. Two high intensity CREE LEDs mounted within an impact resistant housing is powered by 3 AAA batteries to produce a long lived light beam of up to 160 lumens in output. Included with this explosion proof headlight is a clip mounting system with an adhesive bracket (no strap) for ease of operation.
Two rubber dome push button switches allows easy operation between modes even when wearing gloves. The right push button operates the spotlight, whereas the left switches between high/low spotlight, high/low floodlight and high/low for spot and flood combined. The full power spotlight produces 115 lumen and a beam reaching over 250 feet in distance with an 5 hour runtime. The half power spotlight produces 60 lumen with an 16 hour runtime. The full power floodlight produces 120 lumens with a 5.25 hour runtime. The half power floodlight produces 60 lumens with a 16 hour runtime. The spot and flood combined produces 160 lumens with a 3.5 hour runtime. Operators can activate both spotlight and floodlight beams for up to 160 lumens and a 3.5 hour runtime.
LED Benefits:
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.

Featuring a housing constructed of impact resistant engineered polymer that has been drop test verified from 2 meters, an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch resistant coating, and an IPX7 waterproof rating tested at 1 meter. This headlight provides users with a highly convenient and safe light source that leaves their hands free for work operations. This headlight features two high output CREE LED emitters for up to five modes of illumination.
Mounting:
The EXP-LED-HL-HC-MX2 mounts onto hard hats and other preferred surfaces using a stainless steel clip on the back of the LED lamp and an adhesive bracket. When in use, operators can remove the unit seamlessly by pulling the light out of the mount. Compared to traditional hard hat mounting straps, which are prone to snagging, tearing and absorbing hazardous substances in the work site, this mounting method is considered to be sturdier and more reliable.
