Made in the USA The Larson Electronics EPL-SL-3-LP24-LED-TXF Low Profile Explosion Proof string light set provides operators with a powerful and energy efficient alternative to traditional hazardous location portable stringers. LED technology and compact design makes this LED stringers an excellent replacement upgrade option for bulky and high maintenance cost older fixtures. This explosion proof LED light operates on 120/277V AC stepped down to 24V DC, has a T5 temperature rating and carries a paint spray booth, ATEX and IECEx certifications, and is approved for use in United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia markets. It is ideal for applications such as paint booths, oil rigs, offshore applications, petrochemical, manufacturing, chemical storage, water treatment centers, and food processing plants where a where flammable gases, vapors, or dusts exist or stand the potential to exist. This explosion proof string light set from Larson Electronics contains a total of three 52 watt explosion proof LED work lights producing a combined 20,280 lumens. Each fixture is equipped with aluminum hooks and connected in series along 40 feet of 12/3 SOOW explosion proof cord. The C1D1 LED light fixtures are junctioned together, with 20 feet of 16/3 SOOW cable between the fixture. With this arrangement, each drop light cannot spark if pulled apart or dragged. A 50` tail section of 12/3 SOOW cord leads to the encapsulated step down transformer, with 15` 16/3 SOOW on the input side of the transformer and terminated in a Class 1, Division 1 explosion proof plug for complete protection. Each Class 1 Division 1 & 2, Class 2 Division 1 & 2 low profile explosion proof light fixture provides 6,760 lumens of high quality light while only drawing 52 watts. The copper free aluminum alloy body is powder coated for added durability and an attractive aesthetic appearance. Special heat dissipating design in conjunction with LED technology helps this fixture to achieve an excellent 60,000 hour rated lifespan with 80% lumen retention at the 60,000 hour mark. Light weight and a low profile make this unit an attractive alternative to larger and heavier older fixtures and requires less hardware to install. The EPL-SL-3-LP24-LED-TXF from Larson Electronics is an integrated low profile linear explosion proof LED light fixture with a unique design. Instead of using diffused glass, optics, or reflectors to distribute the light, Larson Electronics has positioned the boards within the fixture to provide a wide area light without sacrificing quality or light output. Two offset LED assemblies within the fixture allow this explosion proof linear lamp to provide a brilliant 100° horizontal beam spread and 140° vertical beam spread while achieving a 6,760 lumen output to maintain a small form factor. The LED assembly is protected behind a tempered borosilicate glass tube that is protected by an aluminum wire guard to prevent from accident damage to the light fixture. With each lamp measuring only 5" in width, these drop lights takes up the same surface area as a standard two foot explosion proof drop light, while providing more light output than a two foot, 2-lamp surface mount linear fluorescent fixture. When compared to our EPL-24-2L-T5HO fixture, a single drop light from the EPL-SL-3-LP24-LED-TXF produces twice the light output than the two 24 watt T5HO lamp; this string light set has three of these LED fixtures fixtures in the set. Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied and emit light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. Each LED light fixture produces 6,760 lumens with a color temperature of 5600K and a color rendering index of 75 which produces colors and details much more accurately than high pressure sodium or mercury vapor luminaries. We also offer a 3000K warm white and 4500K natural white color temperature options (longer lead times may apply for non-standard temperatures). Voltage: The encapsulated step down transformer in this unit provide the ability to automatically monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. These string lights can operate on an input current ranging from 90 to 305V AC or 127 to 431V DC without any modifications necessary and the incoming voltage is stepped down to 24V DC to power the lights. This unit allows operators to power the string light from any 120-277V AC power source, and steps down AC voltage to 24V DC. This ability to sense and adjust input current also provides protection against voltage spikes and drops that can occur in electrical systems which would otherwise result in burning up or premature LED failure without it. Wiring: This unit is equipped with 50` 12/3 SOOW cable whip leading to an encapsulated step down transformer with seal off. A seal off and 15` of 16/3 SOOW cable coming out of the inline transformer is terminated in an explosion proof cord cap. This unit allows operators to power the string light from any 120-277V AC power source, and steps down AC voltage to 24V DC. Plug options include explosion proof 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug, explosion proof 5-20 20 amp straight blade plug, or explosion proof 6-20 20 amp straight blade plug. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps. Mounting: Each fixture is supplied with aluminum hooks for hook mounting. Eyelets on each end of the fixture allow operators to chain hang or S hook mount the fixtures. For semi-permanent installations, surface mount brackets can be used to mount each fixture.
