The EPPH-230A-VOIP-PG Explosion Proof Slave Station/Pager Telephone System from Larson Electronics is designed to provide safe, reliable communication for both indoor and outdoor hazardous areas. This NEMA 4X rated device does not require keypads or SIP servers during operation. Constructed of cast aluminum with an ABS handset, the factory-configured telephone offers 5 party lines and 5 alternative-page destinations. Phone Features: The EPPH-230A-VOIP-PG is suitable for communication in rugged hazardous locations. Powered by multicast VoIP technology, this device does not require keypads and SIP servers (serverless architecture). The explosion proof slave/pager system operates on 120/230V AC, 50/60Hz and provides up to 8 ohms of speaker output. This unit caters to five party lines and five alternative-page destinations. The factory-configured system is equipped with a dynamic, noise-canceling microphone with 18dB @ 250 Hz microphone noise discrimination. The dynamic receiver is compatible with hearing aids. This explosion proof telephone features a simplified, easy-to-use design. For party line communication, users must select a preferred line via the rotary dial (1-5) and pick up the handset. Conversations held over the party line are not broadcasted to speakers. It is possible to join the party line using another system on the network by selecting the active line on the rotary dial (1-5) and picking up the handset. In order to use the alternative-page destination feature, the selectable destinations (A-E) must first be software configured. Durability: This unit is designed to provide safe, reliable communication for both indoor and outdoor hazardous areas. Consisting of a sturdy cast aluminum body with an impact resistant ABS handset, the device is ruggedly constructed for superior performance in extreme, demanding environments. The NEMA 4X enclosure housing this telephone unit provides protection from the ingress of dust, dirt and fibers as well as resistance against the harmful and corrosive effects of water spray, sleet, snow and rain. This Class I, Division 1 Groups B, C & D; Class II, Division 1 Groups F & G; and Class III rated telephone provides operators with a safe, secure and dependable communication link. Wiring/Hubs: This explosion proof industrial grade telephone contains terminal blocks for completing wiring connections to a speaker. Operators may also access two RTU inputs and two RTU outputs. A CAT5 (or better) Ethernet cable must be used for communication lines. The EPPH-230A-VOIP-PG features a total of five NPT hubs for wiring. Three 3/4" NPT hubs and two 1" NPT hubs can be found at the bottom of the enclosure. To ensure safety, any conduit NPT plugs (blanking elements) must be explosion proof with a Type 4X rating. Mounting: The ATEX/IECEx rated telephone is designed to be wall mounted using four mounting feet located at the back of the unit. For best results, it is recommended to maintain 48" of clearance from the bottom of the enclosure. ***NOTE: In the event of power outage or disconnection of internet service, VoIP operations may not work. Suggested Applications: Chemical and petrochemical plants, refineries, mines, offshore and land based rigs, power generation facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, grain storage sites and more. |
