The Larson Electronics EPSLED-80-SVS-DC is a powerful explosion proof LED strobe light that is suitable for installation in hazardous locations. This 8-watt unit operates on 12V DC or 24V DC and features a total of 9 high-intensity LEDs. Equipped with 30 flash patterns, the LED beacon can be sycnchronized with other strobe lights on fire alarms and compatible warning systems for simultaneous operation. This unit is offered in the following light colors: red, blue, amber and white. The EPSLED-80-SVS-DC is a compact, versatile lighting solution for warning and advanced notification systems, such as fire alarms. This explosion proof unit runs on 12V DC or 24V DC while drawing 8 watts. Operators may choose from a total of 30 different flash patterns. Features for syncing with compatible alarm systems and other strobe lights is available. Nine high-intensity LEDs produces superior illumination in the hazardous location.
Two Units Synced Together
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Durability: The explosion proof lamp housing is waterproof and constructed of copper-free aluminum. Factory sealed with a baked epoxy powder finish, this luminary can be ordered to emit the following light colors: red, blue, green, amber or white. Unlike typical beacons, this unit produces colored illumination without colored lenses or optics that can fade or discolor over time. The LED is solid state and uses no filaments or glass in its construction, resulting in an extremely durable light that can withstand far more abuse than regular filament based beacons.
