The IND-HVAC-ACC-R1-SS-48-4L-72.52-XB from Larson Electronics is a High Output UV AC Coil Disinfection Light that works to prevent bacterial and unwanted growth in AC condenser and/or evaporator coils within HVAC systems installed in large commercial facilities. Constructed of 304-stainless steel, the system features four 120 watt UV bulbs that produce UV output at a wavelength of 254nm. The IND-HVAC-ACC-R1-SS-48-4L-72.52-XB is designed to be mounted inside 72" x 52" AC condenser and/or evaporator coils and comes with two, 2-lamp ballasts protected by a NEMA 3R external ballast box.
***PLEASE NOTE: UV-C light can cause temporary or permanent loss of vision, and temporary acute redness or ulceration (mild to severe sunburn) to exposed skin. To prevent exposure, do not operate the device in any application that allows UV-C light to be visible during operation. NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE BULB OR DISINFECTING TARGET ZONE. DO NOT touch bulb with bare hands. The oils in your skin will damage the lamp. Fingerprints will result in reduced performance and significantly reduce the lifespan of the lamp unless they are removed with alcohol. Please read instruction manual for UV safety requirements before operating.

The IND-HVAC-ACC-R1-SS-48-4L-72.52-XB is a powerful sanitation solution for AC condenser and/or evaporator coils inside large industrial sites and commercial facilities. This high output UV coil system projects ultraviolet rays inside the coil it is mounted in. The lights prevent bacteria and other types of build up from accumulating on the coil, resulting in cleaner air, less maintenance and better long-term HVAC performance.
Equipped with four UVC fluorescent lamps, this system offers UV output at a wavelength of 254nm. The lights have an expected lifespan of 8,000+ hours and emit a flood beam pattern.
The IND-HVAC-ACC-R1-SS-48-4L-72.52-XB can be used to continuously clean 72" x 52" AC condenser and/or evaporator coils. Constructed of 304 stainless steel, the system is equipped with two, 2-lamp ballasts rated at 120-277V AC, 50/60Hz. The ballasts are protected by a NEMA 3R ballast mounting box. Two UV warning labels are available for installation outside of the HVAC system.
Before and After UV Treatment on AC condenser and/or evaporator Coils
Operation:
The UV lamps must be installed inside the AC condenser and/or evaporator coils of HVAC systems. AC coils are known to be dark and humid, making the areas prone to bacterial growth, mold, mildew and other harmful microbes. If left untreated, the microorganisms can cause diseases, allergies and odors. The UV lights address these issues by eliminating growth from AC condenser and/or evaporator coils and drain pans. This solution also reduces time spent and costs on HVAC maintenance.
Mounting:
The IND-HVAC-ACC-R1-SS-48-4L-72.52-XB is designed to be mounted inside 72" x 52" condenser and/or evaporator coils of HVAC systems. For best results, the lamps should be installed 12" away from the coils (not adhering to this distance may require more UV lamps to cover the area). A galvanized steel mounting rack with three uprights are available for securing the fixtures. Four included hardware kits can be used to add the lights to the mounting rack.
Note on Environment:
Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation. Please see user manual for additional safety information.
Applications:
This UV system for HVAC units is ideal for use in restaurants, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, nursing homes, schools, food processing facilities, office buildings, conference rooms, universities, clean rooms and many more.
