This 180-watt unit features five, 4-foot T8 UV fluorescent lamps, housed in a 304 stainless steel housing. The luminary caters to flat surface mounting mounting, operates on 120-277 V AC, 50/60 Hz, and is equipped with a motion sensor that automatically shuts the unit down when motion is detected. *Please note: This product produces UV light. Make sure to follow all safety guidelines and protocols found in the user manual. UVC light in the proper setting kills up to 99.9% of viruses, mold, spores and bacteria. * The IND-SS-48-5L-UVC-MS is a fluorescent-based UV lighting system for industrial facilities requiring effective sanitation or disinfection. Consisting of five, 4-foot T8 fluorescent UV lamps, the 180-watt unit offers 254nm UVC output with a wavelength range of 200nm to 280nm. Radiant intensity is 145 uW/cm2 per lamp. This UV fixture operates on 120-277V AC, 50/60 Hz (ballast voltage) and features a G13 medium bi-pin cap base. The lamp has an 8,000-hour useful lifespan. The UV light's housing is constructed of 304 stainless steel. This UV fixture is a Risk Group 3 UV product. UV radiation from the unit can damage the skin and eyes without proper protection. Operators should avoid exposure to the eyes and skin when the unit is unshielded (for use in enclosed environments only). In the event of lamp breakage, it is recommended to ventilate the room for 30 minutes and clean the area with gloves (not a vacuum cleaner). Contents should be stored in a sealed plastic bag and brought to a waste/recycling facility.

Motion Sensor:The IND-SS-48-5L-UVC-MS is equipped with a motion sensor for an additional layer of safety while the unit is in use. Due to the potential harm UVC light can cause to a person's skin and vision, it is unsafe to be near the light while it is powered on. To avoid accidental exposure to the UV light produced by this sanitation cart, it is equipped with a 360° motion sensor. When the motion sensor detects movement, it will power off the light. When no motion has been detected for at least 5 minutes, the unit will power back on. Mounting/Wiring: The IND-SS-48-5L-UVC-MS features a surface mounting system. Surface mounting brackets on the housing facilitate a low profile wall or ceiling mount, making it suitable for installations in tight spaces. Power connections to the UV unit can be completed via two accessible, threaded wiring hub (1/2" or 3/4"). Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation.
