The MT-ART-WM-CS-1P-400V-4.5KVA-83V-M1 from Larson Electronics is a 400 V 1 Phase Energy Efficient Pitch System Transformer that is powerful, reliable, and designed with the environment in mind. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, the MT-ART-WM-CS-1P-400V-4.5KVA-83V-M1 provides increased reliablity and protection against critical equipment failures. The lower operating costs, lower heat emissions, and lower cost of ownership make this pitch system transformer ideal for use in windmill pitch systems which adjust the angle of windmill blades according to wind conditions. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION PANELS, TRANSFORMERS, OR SUBSTATIONS* Transformer Features: With a transformer rating of 4.5 kVA, the MT-ART-WM-CS-1P-400V-4.5KVA-83V-M1 transformer is a single phase unit with a primary voltage of 400 V ACA. It also provides a secondary voltage of 83 V AC. Featuring robust construction, this unit's cores are manufactured with non-aging, cold-rolled silicon steel laminations using state of the art technology. This unit boasts a low cost of ownership and is highly energy efficient. Lower heat emissions mean less cooling is needed as well. The cast aluminum enclosure makes the unit suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications and it can be surface mounted. This windmill pitch system unit has an 80°C temperature rise. The MT-ART-WM-CS-1P-400V-4.5KVA-83V-M1 is designed so that no excess oil heating occurs from unbalanced loads or phase loss on the primary side. Benefits: The MT-ART-WM-CS-1P-400V-4.5KVA-83V-M1 pitch system transformer offers many benefits to the consumer. Precision cut copper transformer winding material help to improve performance. The close tolerances used during manufacturing also eliminates burrs which hinder performance. Each core is specially coated to prevent the ingress of moisture and are electrically balanced to minimize axial forces during short circuit situations. This pitch system transformer provides owners with significant energy savings as well as offering environmental benefits. Higher efficiency not only extends the life of the transformer, but also turn into cost savings for owners in the form of lower energy bills and decreased cost of ownership. Integrated mounting brackets make installation fast and easy and the offset outward facing installation holes allow for easy power tool access. Wiring: The MT-ART-WM-CS-1P-400V-4.5KVA-83V-M1 is equipped with a 10 AWG primary lead wire and an 8 AWG secondary lead wire. The lead wires in the MT-ART-WM-CS-1P-400V-4.5KVA-83V-M1 has a minimum rating of 600 V AC, is NRTL certified to UL 3664, and is CSA listed. In addition, the lead wire has a minimum temperature rating of 150°C and a minimum length of 120" (3050 mm). Both the primary and secondary leads exit the transformer via a non-metallic 1.25" NPT threaded hub. The lead wire marking on this unit is as follows:
  • Primary H1 Black
  • Primary H2 White
  • Secondary X1 Gray with red stripe
  • Secondary X2 White with red stripe
  • Secondary X3 Gray with blue stripe
  • Secondary X4 White with blue stripe
  • Secondary X5 Gray with green stripe
  • Secondary X6 White with green stripe
Mounting: The MT-ART-WM-CS-1P-400V-4.5KVA-83V-M1 is mounted via 4 bolts; one M12 bolt in the center and three M10 bolts spaced around the outside. Each of the bolt holes feature a potted insert to prevent thw flow of epoxy and plastic under the stress of heat and bolt tension. The M12 bolt should be torqued to 86 N-m+/-10% while the M10 bolts should be torqued to 49 N-m+/-10%. Applications: Windmill pitch systems. Larson Electronics is a manufacturer and as such can build stationary and portable transformer systems to your specifications. Although we carry several models of power distribution transformer systems, we can deliver custom ordered units almost as quickly as our prebuilt units. If this model does not meet your needs, please contact us at 1-800-369-6671 or to discuss your specific requirements.
