' Product Overview '
Buy American Compliant The Larson Electronics WAL-QP-RPS-6XLED-8E-IR Portable Infrared LED Tower is a superior infrared lighting solution for rugged environments. This unit features six LED emitters (4 top, 2 bottom) mounted on a quadpod, which is capable of reaching heights between 7` and 12`. The LED lamps are powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, which provides a runtime of 12 hours when fully charged. Infrared wavelength options include: 750 nm, 850 nm or 940 nm. The WAL-QP-RPS-6XLED-8E-IR offers powerful infrared illumination in various positions and elevations. Consisting of four infrared LED emitters on top and two at the bottom (total of six LED lamps), the battery-powered unit produces 8,640 lumens and consumes 144 watts during operation. The top four infrared LED lamps emit a flood beam configuration, capable of reaching 500`. The bottom two units emit a spot beam configuration, capable of reaching 1,000`. All LED lamps can be adjusted vertically or horizontally and support independent operation. This infrared LED light tower is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. In a fully charged state, the power cells can sustain all six lamps for 12+ hours. The 160aH battery pack comes with an integrated charger and a rugged travel case. Unlike low-quality infrared LED lamps on the market today, these infrared lights support native infrared features. As a result, cut-off filters are not needed and reliability is greatly enhanced. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.

Durability: These infrared LED emitters can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, are waterproof to three meters (IP68) and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The housings are formed from thick extruded aluminum and the lenses are unbreakable polycarbonate. The Edixeon® LEDs offer inherent LED resistance to shocks and vibrations contributing to these units 15.6Grms rating of vibration tolerance. We recommend these LED lights for high stress - high vibratory conditions, high humidity climates, very cold areas and rough saltwater conditions. They are also well suited for environments where equipment is used in one temperature extreme and stored in another temperature extreme. Mount: The WAL-QP-RPS-6XLED-8E-IR features a four-leg quadpod mount, fabricated from powder coated aluminum. This adjustable and collapsible quadpod can be extended to twelve feet, collapsed to seven feet, and includes solid wheels that allow operators to tilt the unit back and simply roll the entire assembly to a new location when fully deployed. Applications: Outdoor security systems, surveillance, law enforcement, industrial operations, surveying, nighttime monitoring, camera systems, rescue operations, military, covert operations, construction and more.
