The WCDE-4K-3X240W-LED-M1Â Mobile Light Tower from Larson Electronics is a towable LED lighting package powered by a 4kW generator. Equipped with four LED lamps offering 34800Â lumens per unit, the telescoping fold-over light tower extends to a maximum height of 20 feet (23 feet with LED lights) and can be collapsed to 12 feet. All system components are secured to a heavy-duty trailer. This TAA compliant product is made in the USA.
The WCDE-4K-3X240W-LED-M1Â mobile light tower is a reliable solution for deploying equipment in outdoor, remote locations. This unit is supported by a 4,000 watt generator, which supplies the current to four LED lights secured at the top of the tower. The light mast system can provide hours of continuous operation, at a maximum height of 23 feet. This mobile package comes with automated dusk-to-dawn sensor and 7-day scheduler operation.
An included generator (4kW standby, 3kw with lights) equipped with an air-cooled motor provides power for the four LED lights and equipment. The diesel engine is a Yanmar unit with a single cylinder. This engine features direct injection and an electric/manual recoil starter. A 39.9 gallon poly fuel tank allows the engine to operate continuously for extended periods of time without refueling. The 4,000 watt generator is a brushless design and produces 120/240V volt current. Equipped with a volt meter, there are three circuit-breaker protected receptacles on the unit: (2) 20-amp [120V] and (1) 30-amp L14-30 NEMA [120/240V].
LED Light Fixtures: This portable light tower is equipped with four, 240-watt LED lamps. Each LED light offers 34800Â lumens of output during use. The lighting system covers 19,500 square ft at 0.5 ft-c. Sensors provide automated dusk-to-dawn operation. A 7-day scheduler is available for configuring timed settings. Equipped with fixture-mounted drivers, the IP68 rated LED lights (IP65 rated drivers) are protected by an aluminum and polymer housing.
LED Technology: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional lighting.
Telescoping Boom: The telescoping, fold over three stage steel light mast is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy four LED lights in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 20 feet (23 feet with LED lights) for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to 20 feet for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 12 feet for applications where a smaller footprint is required. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a lower section 12 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter, a middle section 8 feet in length and 3.5 inches in diameter, and an upper section 6 feet and 3 inches in diameter. Each section has 2` of overlap. The mast is elevated using an included 1,000 lbs. hand winch with 3/16 inch cable and extended to its full height using a second 1,000 lbs. winch.
A 44" wide and 2" by 2" by 1/4" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for the LED lights.
The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provide increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 12 feet, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360°. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with easy in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely with ease, and can typically be rotated with a single hand.
Housing: All of the operating components are housed within a protective compartment constructed of UV resistant steel and provides airflow for cooling. The design and construction of this enclosure helps this unit operate at a low noise level.
Trailer: The system is mounted onto a two-wheel trailer with DOT-approved LED tail, side, brake and directional lights. A standard two-inch ball coupling and two standard safety chains allow for easy hookup and towing. Three 1,200 lbs tube and sleeve leveling jacks are available for stable deployment. Lifting eye and fork pockets are available on this system.
Applications: This portable LED light tower is suitable for use in remote locations, such as temporary camps, construction sites, military bases and areas without reliable access to the grid. It can be utilized to power a wide range of tools and equipment. Â

Return & Refund Policy
For All non-Larson Products If you are not satisfied with a product, contact us by emailing or call 1-844-787-LITE within 30 days of receipt. A refund may be arranged excluding freight charges upon inspection. Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition, and are subject to 25% restocking fee. PuriLite inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, used or non-resalable items. Your only obligation is the freight charge and restocking fee, provided your return is complete with original packaging, all documentation, warranty cards, cables etc. PuriLite reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days have passed from the order date. If the product is accepted after this period, it is subject to a 25% restocking fee and credit will be issued toward future purchases only.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable for all returns. The customer may also be responsible for return shipping charges, insurance and shipment tracking for returned merchandise.
Once you place an order, the following products are non-returnable: custom-cut, customer built or special order items (such as matting, slings, cranes, prefab offices, buildings, mezzanines, assembled lockers and regularly stocked items such as generators, pressure washers, water and trash pumps, snow throwers, radio headsets, striping paint, line stripers, floor care machines, vacuums, custom fabric chairs, forklifts) your order is considered non-cancellable and any custom-cut, customer built or special order items purchased by you are also non-returnable. Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable. There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface).
Leased and hazardous items are also non-returnable. Contact customer service for a complete list of applicable products.
Larson product return policy Every order is tested prior to shipping. The product is tested before it is put into the shipping box, crate, pallet, etc. Larson take pictures and videos of every product for every order being shipped, and store these pictures and videos with the order number in our system. Because of the complexity of some of our products, we have a very limited return policy.
For safety reasons, we do not accept returns on any hazardous location, explosion proof or intrinsically safe products. Once these products leave the factory, we cannot be sure what happens to them. We must re-build and re-certify the units to specification to ensure that the next customer receives an item that is safe to use. This is cost prohibitive. For that reason, we do not accept returns on classified products. We do not accept returns on transformers, phase converters, or frequency converters. In order to install one of the aforementioned products, typically customers will modify the product (i.e. penetrate the housing to make connections, punch out knockouts, remove or damage tinning on lead wires during installation). Because we video test every unit before it ships to ensure the unit operates as described, we know when they leave here the units are operationally functional and meet the output voltage when supplied with the input voltage per the product specification. To be clear, we do not accept returns on these items under any circumstances for these reasons.
Products that are not addressed in the above two conditions must be returned in new, unused condition.
Below are some additional considerations:
Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component. Because of this risk, all electrical products returned will undergo electrical testing and assessed a testing fee. This fee will be subtracted from the final return value.
Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable.
Products that contain emergency backup components are subject to very narrow warranty terms and do not qualify for return. For customer convenience, we engage the battery pack prior to shipping all emergency backup products. Many times, particularly with hazardous location rated products, the battery packs are difficult to access and the customer generally plans to install the units shortly after receipt of the shipment. Battery backup components using older technologies (Nicad, NIMH, SLA, etc) will fail quickly if they do not maintain valid grid tie support. In other words, the batteries must receive a consistent maintained charge to perpetuate long lifespans. Battery backup products that are shelved (not installed) for periods greater than 3 weeks will likely fail and need replacement sooner. This replacement will not be covered under warranty. This can also occur is the units are installed but the grid tie option is not connected correctly. Customers can specify that they do not want the battery pack to be engaged at the time of ordering if they plan to shelve the units for long periods of time prior to installation.
There are many products on the site and not all pictures depict the exact configuration of each product. Many products are custom built and/or built on demand. In some cases, products are designed and not sold immediately and rendering may be used. In all cases, the end product is built to the specification listed and the pictures shown may be close approximations. Pictures are more likely to be close approximations with more complex products, including transformers, power distribution systems, control systems, light tower systems and other highly customizable products. In no way does the approximation validate a potential return. We always build to the specification. If customers have questions, they should ask prior to purchase to clarify.
There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface)
Many international orders, specialty orders and other complex build orders require prepayment in advance. This prepayment represents a commitment to the order. Cancelling the order will result in a deduction from the original amount paid if any refund is available, since an investment of time and money is typically required to acquire materials and prepare the order. While not all orders in this category require prepayment, cancellation fees may apply to other build orders as well. The percentage of the deduction is at Larson’s discretion but usually ranges from 30 to 50%.
