' Product Overview '
The SPL-1.8K-60AC-120V-TLR-M1 from Larson Electronics is a Portable Solar Generator for powering equipment in remote locations. Operators may tilt, rotate, extend or collapse six 300-watt solar panels for robust control when optimizing positions during harvesting/charging, storage or transportation. Equipped with a job box enclosure, 60-amp charge controller and 500-watt inverter, the trailer-mounted frame assembly is constructed of steel with an industrial-grade coating for added durability. Batteries and battery chargers are not included with the system. This trailer-mounted unit can be rotated until it faces inwards, which protects solar panels during transport. When deployed, six 300-watt panels are rotated until they face upwards. In order to optimize sun capture, the panels can be set to +/- 15 degrees of the latitude of location on Earth. Houston, Texas, for example, is at a latitude of 30 degrees, so the winter setting is 45 degrees and the summer setting would be 15 degrees. While this does not make a huge difference, every little bit helps. The position of the panels are set via locking stabilization arms with key holes, which increases stabilization of the solar array during deployment in high wind applications. As part of the deployment, operators will set the four stabilizing jacks into position by pulling them out and pinning them into position. A job box enclosure is available, which holes a 60-amp charge controller and a 500-watt inverter for 120V equipment. Batteries and battery chargers are not included (must be provided by customer). The enclosure is protected by a top-located NEMA 3R rated cover. This cover serves as a shield and protects the unit from outdoor elements and weather. Natural cooling is provided by vented openings located at the bottom of the enclosure.

Trailer: The trailer itself is built on a 3500-pound rated axle and is approximately 16 feet long and 6 feet wide. The trailer is equipped with a removable tongue for storage, transport and security purposes. For an additional charge, we offer removable wheels in addition to the removable tongue for extra security. The four stabilizing jacks can be folded out from the frame and pinned into place. Four 1,200 lbs hand crank leveling jacks are used for leveling the unit up to a 37-degree slope. Jacks can be leveled by hand crank or attachment provided for power drills. The feet on the stabilizing jacks are over-sized and equipped with through holes for additional ground anchoring mechanisms into hard rock or concrete. Applications: Solar powered systems, solar generators, remote powering of electronics, lights and equipment, as well as charging batteries and power packs for off-grid consumption.
