Featuring an SPDT snap action switch, this unit is rated at 480 V AC (maximum). Operators may use an adjustable set point knob to configure the explosion proof thermostat, at a range of 50°F and 90°F (10°C to 32.2°C). The device is constructed of precision die-cast and corrosion resistant components for durability. To ensure safety, the unit does not contain any exposed copper or brass and mercury. When mounting the explosion proof thermostat inside the hazardous location, the unit must be positioned five feet above the floor. This improves the accuracy of temperature readings and reduces the possibility of false calculations due to the presence of nearby hot or cold elements. Operators may mount the device to walls or compatible surfaces using four cover bolts.
