The Larson Electronics GL-9021-IR-2X1 is a Golight Radioray Infrared Remote Control Spotlight for rugged environments. This low voltage unit is offered in a spot or flood beam configuration and produces infrared light that can reach a distance of 225 feet. A wired remote control enables operators to rotate and tilt the weatherproof infrared LED light.
The GL-9021-IR-2X1 is a powerful, energy-efficient infrared lighting solution for industrial and outdoor sites. Designed to operate on 9-42V DC, this 6-watt LED lamp is capable of emitting an infrared beam at a distance of 225 feet. Spot or flood beam configurations are available, with spot models providing a 225`L x 25`W beam profile and floodlight models providing a 45`L x 40`W beam profile. Offered in 750 nm, 850 nm or 940 nm infrared wavelengths, this unit features remote control operation by a hard wired dash mounted remote control.
The GL-9021-IR-2X1 is designed for hunting and demanding outdoor use with a weather resistant housing constructed of high quality ASA Luran thermoplastic that is heat resistant, impact resistant, UV resistant and able to withstand rugged use and abusive conditions. This particular unit is black in color, making it ideal for docks and buildings where an attractive appearance is desired.
Remote movement of this heavy-duty spotlight is provided by an automotive grade internal motor, gear, and transmission assembly that is constructed of LEXAN, brass, and stainless steel to provide rust and corrosion resistance as well as long life and reliable operation.
LED Benefits:
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.

Voltage Control:
These units are able to adjust input current to maintain correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. These lights can operate on current ranging from 9 to 42V DC without any modifications necessary as a result. This multi-voltage capability makes these units ideal for mobile and standalone applications such as those found on commercial boats, heavy equipment and vehicles where power systems don’t always operate with 12 volts and external generators, transformers or inverters are impractical.
Remote Operation:
The wired dash mount remote control has a 20 foot cord that connects the infrared light and remote together. It has a joystick that controls the position of the light. It has dual speed control of the motorized rotation and tilt. The joystick controls the motorized 135 degree tilt of the spotlight and the motorized rotation of the light a full 370 degrees. The light continues to move while the joystick is pressed. Once any button is released, the spotlight remains locked in that position until the joystick is moved again.
Mounting:
The light is permanently mounted with four screws and a rubber gasket. The screws are included.
