The Larson Electronics HLO-AE.EX-16A-2P3W-220V Single Phase Hazardous Location Receptacle is a ATEX and IEC Ex rated receptacle approved for use in hazardous environments where flammable or explosion gases, vapors, or dusts stand the potential to exist and where flammable dusts, fibers, or flyings exist. This 2-pole, 3-wire hazardous location outlet is rated for 16-amps at 220V AC and designed to provide a secure connection for electrical equipment within the hazardous location. This hazardous location 2-pole 3-wire receptacle is compatible with our HLP-AE.EX-16A-2P3W-220VAC hazardous location power plugs. This outlet is rated for 16 amps at 220V AC and is certified to ATEX and IEC Ex standards for hazardous locations. This receptacle is coded blue to indicate its voltage rating and inner clock key pin position of 6. The color coding of these units makes it impossible to connect different voltages and current ratings, to ensure safe power connection. The switch can be padlocked in the on or off position. This hazardous location outlet features polyamide construction and a voltage rating of 220V AC. With NEMA Type 3, 4, 4X and IP66 ratings, this receptacle is suitable for outdoor, marine and wet location. This hazardous location single phase receptacle has a 2 wire 16-6 AWG terminal capacity and a ¾” NPT bottom entry. This unit has a short circuit current rating of 6kA sym RMS and operates with a T6 ambient temperature rating of -50ºC to +65ºC. Suggested Applications: Chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing, petrochemical operations, offshore applications, coal mining and other refinery or industrial operations.
