' Product Overview '
Buy American Compliant The Larson Electronics LEDLB-1-IR-110V infrared LED Light Bar offers high light output and extreme durability combined with a versatile trunnion handle to easily manage this unit`s output for precise control in a variety of applications. This IP67 rated infrared LED light bar produces an infrared light beam in the 850 nanometer (NM) range which is the most common wavelength used in IR light treatments. This infrared LED light bar operates on 120-277V AC 50/60 Hz voltage and is equipped with 1 foot of SOOW cord between the inline transformer and the general area cord cap and 6 feet SOOW cord between the transformer and the light bar. This light includes an inline transformer to allow operation with common wall plug current, however, the operator can remove the transformer and run this unit on any voltage from 9 to 42 volts. This unit is set up as a medical infrared led light emitter. Larson Electronics provides 6 feet of SOOW cable so that the LED is able to position itself away from the wall where it receives it`s power. The LEDLB-1-IR infrared LED light bar from Larson Electronics produces light in the 850 Nm infrared end of the light spectrum standard, and the wavelength most commonly recommended for medical use. One Edison Edixeon&174; 3 watt infrared emitter produces 550 uWatts/cm² at five feet from the light, paired with high purity 10 degree optics to produce a tightly focused spot beam 125` long by 25` wide with limited spread or light spillage. We offer optional floodlight versions of this light that have 35 degree optics to produce a wider beam spread and more light over a larger area nearer the fixture. These LED light bars are IP68 rated and waterproof to 3 meters, sealed against intrusion by dust and dirt and very ruggedly constructed to withstand the most demanding environments, conditions and applications. The entire Larson Electronics LEDLB-E series are constructed of extruded aluminum and feature heavier housings, rubber isolated mounts and unbreakable polycarbonate lenses to provide increased durability. This light is equipped with a trunnion handle which allows user to hold the unit up to desired areas as well as positioning the light at various angles. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Heat Management: Heat is the single largest factor in premature LED failure and color shifting. These LED units contain advanced drivers which use pulse width modulation to control heat buildup rather than simple voltage regulators which are typically harsh on sensitive electronics and can contribute to early LED failure. These units automatically sense the temperature of each LED and adjust the energy frequency or "duty cycle" accordingly to maintain heat levels within acceptable ranges. This system in essence flashes current at an extremely fast on and off rate to each LED based upon the LED`s core temperature. This flash rate is too fast to detect with the human eye, but provides precise control of the current flowing to each LED and thus the heat it generates. This allows the LEDs to be driven at up to 100% capacity without overheating or visible loss of light output. The LEDs are always driven at the same voltage but the duty cycle, however, is changed to alter how long the LEDs are actually on or off. The end result is more light with less heat and longer LED life with an average 70% lumen maintenance after 50,000 hours. Voltage Control: These units come standard with a choice of general area cord cap. However, these units are able to monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. When the transformer is removed, these LEDLB series light bars can operate on current ranging from 9 to 42V DC without any modifications necessary as a result.

Durability: The LEDLB series of LED light bars from Larson Electronics offer IP68 rated construction that is designed to withstand extremes of environmental and operating conditions. The LED lights with the `E` part number designation are designed for extreme durability and are larger and nearly twice as heavy as their standard counterparts. These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius, are waterproof to three feet and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The housings are formed from thick extruded aluminum and the lenses are unbreakable polycarbonate. The Edixeon® LEDs offer inherent LED resistance to shocks and vibrations contributing to these units 15.6Grms rating of vibration tolerance. We recommend these LED lights for high stress - high vibratory conditions, high humidity climates, very cold areas and rough saltwater conditions. They are also well suited to environments where equipment is used in one temperature extreme and stored in another temperature extreme.
