Product Overview

The Larson Electronics LEDT8-28W-V1-1224 28 watt T-series low voltage LED tube lamp is an excellent choice for upgrading existing T8 fluorescent lamp fixtures to LEDs as well as a direct replacement for our own LED light fixtures. This rough service LED lamp is LEL listed, providing 125 lumens per watt for a total of 3,500 lumens per lamp. These T8 LED replacement lamps offer 50,000 hour lamp life, over twice that of T8 or T5HO fluorescent lamps, while offering impact and vibration resistance far exceeding traditional light sources.
This 28 Watt T-series low voltage LED Bulb works with any T8 fluorescent light fixtures, can be configured for any T series fluorescent lamp fixture with G13 bi-pin tombstones or sockets, and requires no ballast for operation. To increase safety during installation and routine maintenance, these lamps are wired for single sided power with internal integrated LED driver housed within the tube. Internally, you simply bring the black wire to one pin and the white wire to the other. The polycarbonate lens diffuses the light and makes this bulb ideal for food safe environments as there is no glass. The aluminum housing serves as a heat sink and provides rigidity and strength for this LED bulb.
In fluorescent light fixtures with electronic ballasts, the operator needs to bypass the ballast and wire the power directly to one end of the LED tube (black wire to one pin and white wire to the other). Thus, this is an ideal upgrade for 4 foot fixtures with failed ballasts. These LED fluorescent style bulbs are universal voltage and run directly off any voltage ranging from 11 volts to 25 volts AC/DC. The internal LED driver is a "smart" driver, sensing the incoming voltage and adjusting accordingly to provide the current required by the lamp. This allows operators to simply wire the fixture to voltage within the 11-25V AC/DC range, no modifications required for low voltage applications for AC or DC power. Low voltage fixtures require no modifications between 12V and 24V power sources, nor between alternating and direct current supply.

LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
The LEDT8-28W-V1-1224 features specially designed rotating end caps. Fluorescent lamps provide a full 360° beam coverage around the lamp. Since most fluorescent fixtures require directional lighting, reflectors have to be used to bounce the light back towards the intended target area for illumination. LED lamps are directional, which eliminates the need for back mounted reflectors and reduces wasted and lost light. However, the tombstones for existing fixtures may position the face of the LED lamp in a direction facing away from the target illumination area. With the rotating pins, operators can reposition the lamp so the face of the LED tube is positioned properly within existing fixtures. This also allows for fine tune adjustment of each individual lamp within fixtures containing multiple lamps.
These are the second generation of our 28 watt LED tubes. Efficiency for this low voltage LED lamp is 125 lumens per watt, for a total of 3,500 lumens per bulb. We offer a choice of 3000K warm white, 4500K natural white, and 5600K cool white color temperatures and clear, frosted, or heavy frosted lenses. The LEDT8 series of LED lamps are designed for direct replacement of 4ft fluorescent fixtures with G13 bases for replacing four foot T8, T8 high output, T12, T12 high output, and T12 very high output florescent lamps. Additionally, these lamps can be used in fixtures that currently use a G5 to G13 adapter socket using T5 lamps. Please note, this tube is 47" in length and will not fit properly in fixtures designed to accept 45" T5 lamps without adapters.
These rough service LED fluorescent tube replacements can be used as upgrades or replacements to our own explosion proof fluorescent lights, explosion proof paint spray booth lights as well as any other T series light fixture the operator already has in house. We have specially designed these for our explosion proof light fixtures, however, they can be used as replacements in standard fluorescent light fixtures. In our facilities, we replaced worn or spent fluorescent bulbs with these LED bulbs by removing the ballasts and bringing the white wire to one end and the black wire to the other end of the LED tube.

Return & Refund Policy
For All non-Larson Products If you are not satisfied with a product, contact us by emailing or call 1-844-787-LITE within 30 days of receipt. A refund may be arranged excluding freight charges upon inspection. Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition, and are subject to 25% restocking fee. PuriLite inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, used or non-resalable items. Your only obligation is the freight charge and restocking fee, provided your return is complete with original packaging, all documentation, warranty cards, cables etc. PuriLite reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days have passed from the order date. If the product is accepted after this period, it is subject to a 25% restocking fee and credit will be issued toward future purchases only.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable for all returns. The customer may also be responsible for return shipping charges, insurance and shipment tracking for returned merchandise.
Once you place an order, the following products are non-returnable: custom-cut, customer built or special order items (such as matting, slings, cranes, prefab offices, buildings, mezzanines, assembled lockers and regularly stocked items such as generators, pressure washers, water and trash pumps, snow throwers, radio headsets, striping paint, line stripers, floor care machines, vacuums, custom fabric chairs, forklifts) your order is considered non-cancellable and any custom-cut, customer built or special order items purchased by you are also non-returnable. Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable. There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface).
Leased and hazardous items are also non-returnable. Contact customer service for a complete list of applicable products.
Larson product return policy Every order is tested prior to shipping. The product is tested before it is put into the shipping box, crate, pallet, etc. Larson take pictures and videos of every product for every order being shipped, and store these pictures and videos with the order number in our system. Because of the complexity of some of our products, we have a very limited return policy.
For safety reasons, we do not accept returns on any hazardous location, explosion proof or intrinsically safe products. Once these products leave the factory, we cannot be sure what happens to them. We must re-build and re-certify the units to specification to ensure that the next customer receives an item that is safe to use. This is cost prohibitive. For that reason, we do not accept returns on classified products. We do not accept returns on transformers, phase converters, or frequency converters. In order to install one of the aforementioned products, typically customers will modify the product (i.e. penetrate the housing to make connections, punch out knockouts, remove or damage tinning on lead wires during installation). Because we video test every unit before it ships to ensure the unit operates as described, we know when they leave here the units are operationally functional and meet the output voltage when supplied with the input voltage per the product specification. To be clear, we do not accept returns on these items under any circumstances for these reasons.
Products that are not addressed in the above two conditions must be returned in new, unused condition.
Below are some additional considerations:
Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component. Because of this risk, all electrical products returned will undergo electrical testing and assessed a testing fee. This fee will be subtracted from the final return value.
Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable.
Products that contain emergency backup components are subject to very narrow warranty terms and do not qualify for return. For customer convenience, we engage the battery pack prior to shipping all emergency backup products. Many times, particularly with hazardous location rated products, the battery packs are difficult to access and the customer generally plans to install the units shortly after receipt of the shipment. Battery backup components using older technologies (Nicad, NIMH, SLA, etc) will fail quickly if they do not maintain valid grid tie support. In other words, the batteries must receive a consistent maintained charge to perpetuate long lifespans. Battery backup products that are shelved (not installed) for periods greater than 3 weeks will likely fail and need replacement sooner. This replacement will not be covered under warranty. This can also occur is the units are installed but the grid tie option is not connected correctly. Customers can specify that they do not want the battery pack to be engaged at the time of ordering if they plan to shelve the units for long periods of time prior to installation.
There are many products on the site and not all pictures depict the exact configuration of each product. Many products are custom built and/or built on demand. In some cases, products are designed and not sold immediately and rendering may be used. In all cases, the end product is built to the specification listed and the pictures shown may be close approximations. Pictures are more likely to be close approximations with more complex products, including transformers, power distribution systems, control systems, light tower systems and other highly customizable products. In no way does the approximation validate a potential return. We always build to the specification. If customers have questions, they should ask prior to purchase to clarify.
There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface)
Many international orders, specialty orders and other complex build orders require prepayment in advance. This prepayment represents a commitment to the order. Cancelling the order will result in a deduction from the original amount paid if any refund is available, since an investment of time and money is typically required to acquire materials and prepare the order. While not all orders in this category require prepayment, cancellation fees may apply to other build orders as well. The percentage of the deduction is at Larson’s discretion but usually ranges from 30 to 50%.
