The Larson Electronics MT-IVT-12VDC-750VA-120VAC-R1 Step Up Transformer converts DC input to AC output in industrial sites. This fan-cooled power converter is rated at 750 watts and offers 12V DC input and 120V AC output @ 50/60 Hz. Designed for surface-mounting applications, AC output is accessible by two, GFCI receptacles.
The MT-IVT-12VDC-750VA-120VAC-R1 provides a safe and effective way for users to tap into and utilize 12V DC power sources and step up this current to 120V AC. Rated at 750 watts, this pure sine wave unit can be operated with input current ranging from 10.5V DC to 16.5V DC and an output current ranging from 100V AC to 120V AC (output voltage is selectable via a DIP switch). Output frequency is 50/60 Hz +/- 5%, also selectable using a DIP switch. The transformer provides reverse polarity (fuse), under voltage and over voltage input protection and short circuit, overload and over temperature output protection. Threshold for surge protection is 1,500 watts @ 1 minute.
This DC to AC transformer offers a -20°C to +40°C operating temperature range. The unit has a 90% maximum conversion efficiency and fully isolated input/output. Cooling is facilitated by a temperature/load controlled cooling fan. Powered by an advanced microprocessor for ease of use, the power converter features three LED indicator lights for real-time monitoring.
Wiring/Connections:
DC input is facilitated by DC +/- input terminals (#1 AWG). Operators may access two GFCI receptacles on the output side for AC power. This unit is compatible with a remote control (not included).
Mounting:
The MT-IVT-12VDC-750VA-120VAC-R1 caters to surface mounting applications via four openings on the back of the transformer.
NOTE:
In order to obtain the best performance and the longest operational life from these units, it is recommended that you do not exceed 75% of the unit’s output amperage. To determine if this converter suits your desired application, add together the total wattage of the equipment you intend to use with this unit and divide this total by 12 volts to find the total amperage draw that will be placed upon the converter. For example, if you are using one of our 240 watt LED lights, 240 watts divided by 12 volts is 20 amps. Running these units at 100% of their capacity can create excess heat and lead to shortened converter life.
