The Larson Electronics ATEX-EHL-1123-LED-LER-50-EPP is a hazardous area assembly complete with a handheld LED lamp with ATEX/IECEx ratings for Zone 1 & 21 and Zone 2 & 22, a manual crank reel with 50 feet of explosion proof cord and an explosion proof ATEX rated pin and sleeve plug. This unit features an anti-roll design for easy gripping and is suitable for supporting industrial tasks when overseeing heavy machinery, confined spaces, detailed works and etc. The ATEX-EHL-1123-LED-LER-50-EPP assembly supports LED technology and a 50-foot SOOW cord. With ATEX/IECEx ratings for Zone 1 & 21 and Zone 2 & 22, the unit is suitable for use in hazardous areas. The LED light inside the T4 lamp comes with a 50,000-hour lifespan and is capable of emitting 285 lux in 1-meter distance. This industrial luminary supports a 6,000K color temperature rating during output. The enclosed tube is made out of polycarbonate, while the grip handle and sealing are constructed out of aluminum. IP67 waterproof ratings ensure that this unit is protected from exposure to dust, low pressure jets of water and immersion. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Mounting: This LED light and wiring assembly comes with a drop hook at the top end of the LED fixture, allowing users to conveniently hang the unit overhead anywhere illumination is needed. An anti-roll designed grip may also be used as a handheld alternative for spot illumination when needed. For additional mechanical protection, a stainless steel wire guard can be purchased and installed over the lamp. Voltage: The internal driver in this assembly provides the ability to automatically monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels, regardless of input levels across a specific range. These lamps can operate on current ranging from 120V to 240V AC (12V and 24-48V models are available). This ability to sense and adjust input current also provides protection against voltage spikes and drops that can occur in electrical systems which would otherwise result in burning up or premature LED failure without it. Wiring & Plug: This explosion proof flood light assembly is equipped with an explosion proof aluminum manual crank cord reel that offers 20 amps of continual service and 50 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord. *Please note the power cable for the input rotates along with the reel. To avoid mechanical issues, unrolled the reel before powering on the light.* On the end of the SOOW cord is a hazardous location pin and sleeve plug that is ATEX rated for use in hazardous environments where flammable or explosion gases, vapors, or dusts stand the potential to exist and where flammable dusts, fibers, or flyings exist. This 2-pole, 3-wire plug is designed to provide a secure connection for electrical equipment within the hazardous location. This plug is suitable for EX II 2 G, EEx ed IIC T6, Ex II 2 D IP 66 T80°C, IP66 rated, and features polyamide construction and recessed brass pins with a 16 amp current rating.
