This unit is Made In USA - Manufactured in Texas The CHSL-7-MR from Larson Electronics is an LED Roadway and Area Lighting Luminare that provides superior area lighting and is a direct replacement for 150-400W high pressure sodium fixtures and for 175-1000W metal halide fixtures. The CHSL-7-MR features nine high-intensity LEDs and operates on 120-277V AC voltages while having auto-sensing voltage capabilities. The CHSL-7-MR produces 28,000 lumens of light output and has a 100,000+ hour rated service life for a long-lasting and cost efficient lighting solution. The CHSL-7-MR is an LED streetlight configured for medium width roadways. The CHSL-7-MR is built for extreme durability with a standard 5000 hour salt spray gray finish as well as an IP66 rated glass optical lens and an IP65 rated electrical enclosure. The CHSL-7-MR is capable of being tilted from 27° to 45° for precise positioning. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Voltage/Wiring: The CHSL-7-MR has auto-sensing voltage capability and can operate on voltages ranging from 120-277V AC. A prewired three-station terminal block accepts #16 through #8 wires. Housing: The housing of the CHSL-7-MR is constructed from durable, low-copper 356 cast aluminum and is fully sealed against the ingress of dust or water. Heavy duty stainless steel hinges operate the lineman-friendly power door for easy access and maintenance. The lens of the CHSL-7-MR is made from rugged prismatic glass refractor to both protect the LEDs and efficiently target roadways and other areas to be lit with uniformity and glare control. Mounting: The CHSL-7-MR is configured for tenon mounting and attaches to any 2" vertical tenon. This LED street light comes with an uplight skirt that ensures no light is cast above 90°. Applications: Roadways, walkways, parking lots, concourses, pathways, commercial area lighting and any other large areas that require a durable source of bright illumination.
