The Larson Electronics DCP-3.7-DP-HD-1224 Waterproof Transformer converts commonly used 120V AC, 220-240V AC and 300V DC electrical current to 12V DC and 24V DC. This converter includes a general-area plug on the input end and two sets of leads for 12V DC and 24V DC connections on the output side. No special modifications are required to utilize the voltage ranges, resulting in quick and seamless power conversion.
The DCP-3.7-DP-HD-1224 provides a safe and effective way for users to tap into and utilize AC power sources and convert this current to 12V DC and 24V DC for use with equipment that requires low voltage DC electrical power. This unit features full range, universal AC input capabilities and can be operated with 88-132V AC @ 50/60 Hz (120V AC), 176-264V AC @ 50/60 Hz (220-240V AC) and 248-373V DC (300V DC). The unit converts AC power input to 12V DC output or 24V DC output at 3.7 amps maximum (combined between the two outputs).
This converter comes with a general-area plug on the input lead and two sets of output leads, allowing users to simply plug the unit into a typical AC wall outlet and connect to 12V DC and 24V DC customer-provided equipment. THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH THE HID GOLIGHT SPOTLIGHTS (GL-3XXXH-X models). The small size and wide input voltage range of this unit makes it ideal for operating Larson Electronics LED light bars, Golights and other equipment that requires 12V DC or 24V DC current indoors and anywhere 12V DC or 24V DC power is not readily available.
Durability/Protection: IP67 rated, this unit is waterproof and suitable for indoor or outdoor applications. Integrally designed protection includes overload, short circuit and over voltage safeguards to prevent overheating and unit damage in case of faults or overly heavy current draw. This unit will shut down when an over current fault is encountered and automatically resumes operation once the fault is repaired or removed. When an over voltage condition is encountered the unit will shut down and recover when manually turned back on.
This power converter has a -20°C to +60°C operating temperature range and is UL 1310 Class II and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 223-M91 rated. The unit has an 85% conversion efficiency and is suitable for use with moving LED signs and similar LED equipment. These units also feature Power Factor Correction.
Wiring/Plug: This encapsulated transformer power supply is equipped with 5 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. Plug options include standard 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground, standard 6-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 220-240V wall outlets with ground, NEMA L5-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets, NEMA L6-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 240V twist lock outlets, British BS1363 13 amp fused 3-blade plug for United Kingdom outlets, or a two pin 16 amp rated Schuko plug with ground contact and socket for European outlets up to 250V. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps. Please choose pigtail option below for flying leads with no plug.
The output side of the transformer contains two sets of output leads. One set is for 12V DC connections and the other set is for 24V DC. Maximum combined capacity between both sets of output leads is 3.7 amps.
Mounting: The DCP-3.7-DP-HD-1224 is mountable on flat surfaces using two conventional screws via slots that allow removal and repositioning simply by loosening the screws. This transformer is enclosed in a weather proof enclosure that is equipped with a handy strap for carrying and/or mounting.
NOTE: In order to obtain the best performance and the longest operational life from these units, it is recommended that you do not exceed 75% of the unit`s output amperage. To determine if this converter suits your desired application, add together the total wattage of the equipment you intend to use with this unit and divide this total by 12 volts to find the total amperage draw that will be placed upon the converter. For example, if you are using our LEDP10W-60E 60 watt LED light, 60 watts divided by 12 volts is 5 amps. This would mean the DCP-5 is not suitable as it would run at 100% capacity to produce the necessary 5 amps and run hotter, leading to reduced converter life. Thus, a higher rated converter like our would be a better choice.
Applications: Battery charging, battery maintenance and repair, standby/emergency generators, power management, pumps, field engineering, automated systems and more.

Return & Refund Policy
For All non-Larson Products If you are not satisfied with a product, contact us by emailing or call 1-844-787-LITE within 30 days of receipt. A refund may be arranged excluding freight charges upon inspection. Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition, and are subject to 25% restocking fee. PuriLite inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, used or non-resalable items. Your only obligation is the freight charge and restocking fee, provided your return is complete with original packaging, all documentation, warranty cards, cables etc. PuriLite reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days have passed from the order date. If the product is accepted after this period, it is subject to a 25% restocking fee and credit will be issued toward future purchases only.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable for all returns. The customer may also be responsible for return shipping charges, insurance and shipment tracking for returned merchandise.
Once you place an order, the following products are non-returnable: custom-cut, customer built or special order items (such as matting, slings, cranes, prefab offices, buildings, mezzanines, assembled lockers and regularly stocked items such as generators, pressure washers, water and trash pumps, snow throwers, radio headsets, striping paint, line stripers, floor care machines, vacuums, custom fabric chairs, forklifts) your order is considered non-cancellable and any custom-cut, customer built or special order items purchased by you are also non-returnable. Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable. There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface).
Leased and hazardous items are also non-returnable. Contact customer service for a complete list of applicable products.
Larson product return policy Every order is tested prior to shipping. The product is tested before it is put into the shipping box, crate, pallet, etc. Larson take pictures and videos of every product for every order being shipped, and store these pictures and videos with the order number in our system. Because of the complexity of some of our products, we have a very limited return policy.
For safety reasons, we do not accept returns on any hazardous location, explosion proof or intrinsically safe products. Once these products leave the factory, we cannot be sure what happens to them. We must re-build and re-certify the units to specification to ensure that the next customer receives an item that is safe to use. This is cost prohibitive. For that reason, we do not accept returns on classified products. We do not accept returns on transformers, phase converters, or frequency converters. In order to install one of the aforementioned products, typically customers will modify the product (i.e. penetrate the housing to make connections, punch out knockouts, remove or damage tinning on lead wires during installation). Because we video test every unit before it ships to ensure the unit operates as described, we know when they leave here the units are operationally functional and meet the output voltage when supplied with the input voltage per the product specification. To be clear, we do not accept returns on these items under any circumstances for these reasons.
Products that are not addressed in the above two conditions must be returned in new, unused condition.
Below are some additional considerations:
Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component. Because of this risk, all electrical products returned will undergo electrical testing and assessed a testing fee. This fee will be subtracted from the final return value.
Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable.
Products that contain emergency backup components are subject to very narrow warranty terms and do not qualify for return. For customer convenience, we engage the battery pack prior to shipping all emergency backup products. Many times, particularly with hazardous location rated products, the battery packs are difficult to access and the customer generally plans to install the units shortly after receipt of the shipment. Battery backup components using older technologies (Nicad, NIMH, SLA, etc) will fail quickly if they do not maintain valid grid tie support. In other words, the batteries must receive a consistent maintained charge to perpetuate long lifespans. Battery backup products that are shelved (not installed) for periods greater than 3 weeks will likely fail and need replacement sooner. This replacement will not be covered under warranty. This can also occur is the units are installed but the grid tie option is not connected correctly. Customers can specify that they do not want the battery pack to be engaged at the time of ordering if they plan to shelve the units for long periods of time prior to installation.
There are many products on the site and not all pictures depict the exact configuration of each product. Many products are custom built and/or built on demand. In some cases, products are designed and not sold immediately and rendering may be used. In all cases, the end product is built to the specification listed and the pictures shown may be close approximations. Pictures are more likely to be close approximations with more complex products, including transformers, power distribution systems, control systems, light tower systems and other highly customizable products. In no way does the approximation validate a potential return. We always build to the specification. If customers have questions, they should ask prior to purchase to clarify.
There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface)
Many international orders, specialty orders and other complex build orders require prepayment in advance. This prepayment represents a commitment to the order. Cancelling the order will result in a deduction from the original amount paid if any refund is available, since an investment of time and money is typically required to acquire materials and prepare the order. While not all orders in this category require prepayment, cancellation fees may apply to other build orders as well. The percentage of the deduction is at Larson’s discretion but usually ranges from 30 to 50%.
