The EPL-16C-2X150LED-RT-250C-EPP.CE16A is a cart mounted explosion proof LED light that provides 9,500 square feet of work area coverage with 42,000 lumens of light output. This portable LED cart light has a removable light head assembly which allows the unit to fit through the standard sized manholes or entry passages commonly found in the petrochemical and marine industries. Often simply referred to as a "tank light", this unit is considered universal due to its ability to be passed through any conventional manhole such as those found in petrochemical containers and ship storage tanks.
This portable LED tank light is comprised of an adjustable LED light head mounted atop a wheelbarrow style cart fabricated from non-sparking powder coated aluminum and includes solid wheels allow the operator to tilt the unit up and simply roll the entire assembly to a new location. The LED light head produces a brilliant flood pattern of light that is ideal for illuminating enclosed areas and further adds to this units desirability as a portable tank lighting solution. The LED light fixture assembly can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the light and mounting bracket off of the center support, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The lamp can be easily adjusted vertically and rotated horizontally, then locked into position.
This portable LED light cart is comprised of a removable LED light head T assembly mounted atop a solid rubber wheeled cart fabricated from non sparking aluminum. Transferring the unit through manholes consists of simply removing the light head from the cart, passing the light head and cart through the manhole separately, and then reassembling the unit once inside. Included with this LED light cart is 250` of SOOW cord which combined with the 360° of rotation of the T head and 90° of tilt offered by the LED light heads provides an effective alternative to often cumbersome explosion proof string lights.
The explosion proof LED light fixture features multiple LED drivers which helps to increase the operational life of the fixture. With traditional LED lights, in the event an LED array or driver fails, the entire fixture no longer illuminates. This new series of LED lamps contains twenty-four individual LED boards configured in a series of banks. Each bank contains two LED boards with an individual driver. In the event of a driver failure, only one bank of LEDs will be effected while the other banks will continue to operate. In the event that of an LED failure, the mating LED will continue to operate.

60° Beam Angle
125° Beam Angle
140° Beam Angle
Beam Angles: When used as a portable lighting solution, the varying beam angles are each individually ideal for several environments. The 60° beam provides the most intense beam of the three options. It is perfect for narrow, confined spaces and is ideally suited for tank cleaning purposes. It offers focused light to provide ample illumination to tight work spaces and other environments. The 125° beam offers a more diffused source of light that is also less intense in brightness. It is a great general area work light and performs well when used for outdoor illumination. The 140° beam offers a very wide lighting pattern and is ideal for situations where lighting distance is not a concern, but illumination of a wider area and even light distribution is. The 140° beam is great for situations that call for working in close proximity to lights such as in a paint booth.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
The LED light heads on this tank cart contains twelve 12.5 watt LEDs producing 140 lumens each. These LEDs are arranged in rows and paired with high purity optics to produce 42,000 lumens and a flood beam while only drawing 2.5 amps on 120V, making these units ideal for use as highly efficient yet powerful work and area lights. The EPL-16C-2X150LED-RT-250C-EPP.CE16A explosion proof LED light cart is an ideal and direct replacement for fragile and hot running 400 watt metal halide cart mounted floodlights.
Voltage: The LED assembly is universal voltage capable and can be operated with 100-277V AC, 50/60Hz.
Wiring: This LED floodlight is equipped with 250` of 16/3 SOOW oil, chemical, abrasive, and water resistant cable terminated in a Class I, Division 2 rated cord cap, which is combined with adjustability offered by the LED light heads and provides ample length for tower placement and optimal coverage of the workspace. The 16-amp cord cap is IP66 rated and can be used in Class I, Division 2 rated environments (the explosion proof LED light is Class I, Division 1 rated). This cord cap is offered in 125V or 250V.
This explosion proof LED light fixture is IP67 rated, dust-proof, and protected against high pressure jets and temporary submersion. The cast aluminum body and LED lamp give this light excellent durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. The housing is specially designed to dissipate heat which increases the efficiency and lifespan of the LEDs and electronics. This LED light produces 35,000 lumens with a color temperature of 5000K, 4000K, or 3000K and a color rendering index of 75 which produces colors and details much more accurately than high pressure sodium or mercury vapor portable work lights. This LED light tower retains 80% of its lumen output after 60,000 hours of use, far longer than metal halide or halogen work lamps.
The LED light head assembly on this unit is small enough to allow it to fit through most standard size manholes and entry points. The T head light assembly can also be removed from the cart, the entire assembly passed through a manhole, and reassembled once inside. The easy to collapse design of this Class I, Division 1 LED work light allows Larson Electronics to avoid pallet freight charges when shipping and deliver these units via UPS next day air service, which in turn improves delivery time and reduces the cost to buyers.
Further adding to the versatility and convenience of this LED light cart are 25 peel off Mylar overspray lamp protectors that ship with the unit. The protectors provide lamp protection from dirt or debris and can be removed, cleaned and replaced, lessening the need for tedious lamp cleaning or replacements. The LED light heads is T5 temperature rated and the LED light heads retains 80% of its lumen output after 60,000 hours of use, far longer than incandescent or fluorescent lamps. The light head can be removed and used separately from the cart for added convenience.

Returned merchandise must be shipped in original packaging, freight prepaid, unused, and in resalable condition, and are subject to 25% restocking fee. PuriLite inspects all returns and reserves the right to refuse credits on damaged, used or non-resalable items. Your only obligation is the freight charge and restocking fee, provided your return is complete with original packaging, all documentation, warranty cards, cables etc. PuriLite reserves the right to authorize product returns after 30 days have passed from the order date. If the product is accepted after this period, it is subject to a 25% restocking fee and credit will be issued toward future purchases only.
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable for all returns. The customer may also be responsible for return shipping charges, insurance and shipment tracking for returned merchandise.
Once you place an order, the following products are non-returnable: custom-cut, customer built or special order items (such as matting, slings, cranes, prefab offices, buildings, mezzanines, assembled lockers and regularly stocked items such as generators, pressure washers, water and trash pumps, snow throwers, radio headsets, striping paint, line stripers, floor care machines, vacuums, custom fabric chairs, forklifts) your order is considered non-cancellable and any custom-cut, customer built or special order items purchased by you are also non-returnable. Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable. There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface).

Larson product return policy Every order is tested prior to shipping. The product is tested before it is put into the shipping box, crate, pallet, etc. Larson take pictures and videos of every product for every order being shipped, and store these pictures and videos with the order number in our system. Because of the complexity of some of our products, we have a very limited return policy.
For safety reasons, we do not accept returns on any hazardous location, explosion proof or intrinsically safe products. Once these products leave the factory, we cannot be sure what happens to them. We must re-build and re-certify the units to specification to ensure that the next customer receives an item that is safe to use. This is cost prohibitive. For that reason, we do not accept returns on classified products. We do not accept returns on transformers, phase converters, or frequency converters. In order to install one of the aforementioned products, typically customers will modify the product (i.e. penetrate the housing to make connections, punch out knockouts, remove or damage tinning on lead wires during installation). Because we video test every unit before it ships to ensure the unit operates as described, we know when they leave here the units are operationally functional and meet the output voltage when supplied with the input voltage per the product specification. To be clear, we do not accept returns on these items under any circumstances for these reasons.
Products that are not addressed in the above two conditions must be returned in new, unused condition.
Below are some additional considerations:
Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component. Because of this risk, all electrical products returned will undergo electrical testing and assessed a testing fee. This fee will be subtracted from the final return value.
Consumable style bulbs or lamps are not returnable.
Products that contain emergency backup components are subject to very narrow warranty terms and do not qualify for return. For customer convenience, we engage the battery pack prior to shipping all emergency backup products. Many times, particularly with hazardous location rated products, the battery packs are difficult to access and the customer generally plans to install the units shortly after receipt of the shipment. Battery backup components using older technologies (Nicad, NIMH, SLA, etc) will fail quickly if they do not maintain valid grid tie support. In other words, the batteries must receive a consistent maintained charge to perpetuate long lifespans. Battery backup products that are shelved (not installed) for periods greater than 3 weeks will likely fail and need replacement sooner. This replacement will not be covered under warranty. This can also occur is the units are installed but the grid tie option is not connected correctly. Customers can specify that they do not want the battery pack to be engaged at the time of ordering if they plan to shelve the units for long periods of time prior to installation.
There are many products on the site and not all pictures depict the exact configuration of each product. Many products are custom built and/or built on demand. In some cases, products are designed and not sold immediately and rendering may be used. In all cases, the end product is built to the specification listed and the pictures shown may be close approximations. Pictures are more likely to be close approximations with more complex products, including transformers, power distribution systems, control systems, light tower systems and other highly customizable products. In no way does the approximation validate a potential return. We always build to the specification. If customers have questions, they should ask prior to purchase to clarify.
There are no returns on any medical and/or sanitizing products for obvious safety reasons. This includes PPE (including masks), tests, thermometers, sprayers and UVC lighting of any kind (portable and surface)
Many international orders, specialty orders and other complex build orders require prepayment in advance. This prepayment represents a commitment to the order. Cancelling the order will result in a deduction from the original amount paid if any refund is available, since an investment of time and money is typically required to acquire materials and prepare the order. While not all orders in this category require prepayment, cancellation fees may apply to other build orders as well. The percentage of the deduction is at Larson’s discretion but usually ranges from 30 to 50%.
