The Larson Electronics EPL-C-2X70 Wheeled Quadpod Mounted Explosion Proof Light is designed for Class I, II and III rated work environments. The wheeled quadpod mount and LED lamps used with this unit provide operators with excellent power and efficiency coupled with high versatility and ease of use. This unit comes with 100' of 16/3 SOOW cord and an explosion proof cord cap. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS, LIGHT TOWERS, OR QUADPODS*  Two 50-watt, explosion proof LED lamps mounted on a two wheeled adjustable quadpod tower gives operators an easily deployable source of powerful light that can be quickly setup and adjusted to effectively illuminate hazardous work areas. This unit contains two 50-watt, dual ended LED lamps, and is capable of illuminating 26,000 square feet of work space with 14,000 lumens of light. The lamps on this unit produce illumination equivalent to two typical 400-watt halogen lamps. The LED lamps also run cooler than 400 watt halogen lamps, resulting in an easier to handle unit and less heat in the workspace. This unit's durability, easy deployment, high power and the good color rendering of the lamps make it ideal for close work and hazardous areas where safety, detail and accuracy are critical. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Lamps: The Class I Division 1 & 2, Class II Division 1 & 2 explosion proof light fixtures provide 7,000 lumens of high quality light while drawing only 50 watts each. The copper free aluminum alloy body is powder coated for added durability and an attractive aesthetic appearance. Special heat dissipating design in conjunction with LED technology helps the fixtures achieve an excellent 60,000-hour rated lifespan with 80% lumen retention. Light weight and a low profile make this unit an attractive alternative to larger and heavier older fixtures and requires less hardware to install. The LED lights are universal voltage capable and can be operated with 100-277V AC, 50/60Hz. We also offer a low voltage version of this LED fixture that operates on AC/DC voltages from 11-25 Volts. The explosion proof LED light fixtures are IP67 rated, dust-proof, and protected against high pressure jets and temporary submersion. The cast aluminum body ensures excellent durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. The housing is specially designed to dissipate heat which increases the efficiency and lifespan of the LEDs and electronics.

Wiring & Plug: The unit is equipped with 100 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an explosion proof cord cap for easy connection to explosion proof outlets. Wiring is connnected via a servicable access hub on the back of the fixture. Plug options include a 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for use with 120V explosion proof outlets, a 5-20 20 amp straight blade plug for use with 120V explosion proof outlets, or a 6-20 20 amp straight blade plug for use with 220-240V explosion proof outlets. Quadpod Tower: This explosion proof LED tower light is comprised of a removable dual light head assembly mounted atop an adjustable quadpod light tower fabricated from non sparking aluminum. The non sparking, adjustable and collapsible tripod can be extended to twelve feet and collapsed to seven feet via an included hand winch, while wheels mounted to the bottom of the tower enable the operator to tilt the unit back and simply roll the entire assembly to a new location. The explosion proof light fixture bracket can be removed by releasing the hand knob and sliding the lights and mounting bracket off of the tower support while the legs can be collapsed, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The lamps can be easily adjusted up, down or from side to side and locked into position. Suggested Applications: Wastewater treatment plants, refinery tanks, oil and gasoline loading docks, coal pulverizing facilities, munitions storage areas, tunnel projects, utility gas plants, power plant areas, hazardous areas and mining conveyor belts.
