The EPL-HB-FA-2X150LED-RT-140DB-EB-24V from Larson Electronics is an Explosion Proof High Bay Light Fixture with Remote Driver Enclosure that provides operators with a powerful and energy efficient alternative to traditional hazardous location luminaries. Cree LED technology and compact design makes this lamp an excellent replacement upgrade option for bulky and high maintenance cost older fixtures. The EPL-HB-FA-2X150LED-RT-140DB-EB-24V is equipped with a remote driver box. This explosion proof driver box is mounted remotely from the light fixture and makes the EPL-HB-FA-2X150LED-RT-140DB-EB-24V ideal for hotbox and EMI sensitive applications. ***PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO THIS HAZARDOUS LOCATION LIGHT FIXTURE*** This Class I Divisions 1 & 2, Class II Divisions 1 & 2 explosion proof light fixture provides 35,000 of high quality light while drawing only 300 watts. The copper free aluminum alloy body is powder coated for added durability and an attractive aesthetic appearance while the heavy duty aluminum guard protects the fixture from potential damage. Special heat dissipating design in conjunction with LED technology helps this fixture to achieve an excellent 60,000 hour rated lifespan with 80% lumen retention. Light weight and a low profile make this unit an attractive alternative to larger and heavier older fixtures and requires less hardware to install. The explosion proof LED light head in this unit features multiple LED drivers which help increase the operational life of the fixture. With traditional LED lights, in the event that an LED array or driver fails, the entire fixture no longer illuminates. This new series of LED work lamps by Larson Electronics contains twenty four individual LED boards configured in a series of banks. Each bank contains two LED boards with an individual driver. In the event a driver fails, only one bank of LEDs will be effected while the other banks will continue to operate. In the event that of an LED failure, the mating LED will continue to operate.

Beam Angles: When used as a fixed mount fixture, the varying beam angles need to be mounted at certain heights in order to achieve the greatest coverage and efficiency in both high bay and low bay lighting situations. The 60° beam should be mounted in high bay fixtures over 25' in height and 25' away from objects if used as a wall mounted light. The 125° beam is ideal for low bay fixtures in a height range of 15-25 feet and the same distance away from objects when the wall mounting option is employed. The 140° beam is best used as a low bay fixture in areas with a ceiling height of 15' or less or for illuminating objects up to 15' away when wall mounted. Remote Driver Box: The drivers and electronics for this unit are mounted inside an explosion proof enclosure. The light fixture itself only contains the LED boards. The driver box can be mounted remotely from the light fixture. Having the freedom to mount the drivers and electronics seperately from the light fixture helps to make this unit ideal for hotbox applications and EMI sensitive applications. The driver enclosure measures 13.25" (336.55mm) long x 17.25" (438.15mm) high x 8.70" (220.98mm) deep and is equipped with (4) 3/4" NPT hubs. One hub is for input wiring, two are for ouput power to lamps, and one is for pass through power. A junction box is mounted on the back of the light fixture that allows operators to wire leads from the driver box into the fixture for each LED. The remote driver box of the EPL-HB-FA-2X150LED-RT-140DB-EB-24V makes it an excellent option for hotbox applications. Drivers are heat sensitive and are usually the first part of a light to die prematurely due to heat such as that found in hotbox applications. When the drivers are moved outside of the hot environment, the LEDs last longer and the driver is not negatively impacted by the heat. The remote driver box of the EPL-HB-FA-2X150LED-RT-140DB-EB-24V also makes it an excellent option for EMI/EMF sensitive applications. Drivers are the part of a light fixture that have the electromagnetic output that interferes with EMI/EMF applications. Moving the drivers outside of the area will eliminate that interference. This explosion proof high bay light fixture is protected by a 1/8" aluminum frame surrounding the side and front lip of the fixture. This light is multi-voltage capable and can be operated with 24 V AC input without any need for a special ballast. The aluminum body and LED lamp give this light excellent durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. The housing is specially designed to dissipate heat which increases the efficiency and lifespan of the LED luminaries. The LED lamp produces 35,000 lumens with a color temperature of 5000K, 4000K, or 3000K and a color rendering index of 75 which produces colors and details much more accurately than high pressure sodium or mercury vapor luminaries. The EPL-HB-FA-2X150LED-RT-140DB-EB-24V is LEL approved for LED quality and energy efficiency for commercial locations and applicable for Class I Division 1 work areas, such as tanks and refineries, silos, loading facilities, and other similar environments.
