| Made in the USA The Larson Electronics EPL-HL26-50-1523 Hazardous Area Compact Fluorescent Drop light is UL Listed Class 1 Division1 Groups C and D - and is ideal for general work activities in hazardous locations requiring explosion proof protection. This 26 watt explosion proof compact fluorescent work light from Larson Electronics produces 1,700 lumens of fluorescent illumination and comes complete with 50 feet of explosion proof cord. The EPL-HL26-50-1523 fluorescent drop light ballast is contained within the compact fluorescent bulb assembly while the housing is constructed of non sparking aluminum. This hazardous location hand lamp is Class 1, Division 1 and Class 2 Division 1 hazardous location environment approved. This explosion compact proof fluorescent drop light is ideal for hazardous work areas where a ready source of easily managed lighting is desired. These particular units also come standard with an explosion proof twist-lock plug. The plug is Class I, Division I & II and Class II, Division I & II rated. In order to complete the seal, operator must take twist-lock explosion proof plug and connect to an explosion proof outlet receptacle. Connecting to a regular 120VAC outlet renders the plug useless and should only be done when connecting the light outside of the explosion proof environment. | ||||||

This 26 watt fluorescent light is suitable for use in areas where petrochemical vapors and various dusts are present and projects 1,700 lumens of light, roughly equivalent to a 100 watt incandescent bulb. This unit is rated Class 1, Division 1 and is complete with 50’ of SOOW 16/3 AWG cord ending in a 1523 explosion proof plug.
This hand lamp has a compact flurorescent bulb so the operator doesn`t need to drag the ballast housing around. This can be particularly annoying when the transformer becomes entangled in the cord. This explosion proof fluorescent hand light comes standard with 120 Volts, 60 Hz operation for US voltages. This unit has a 2800k color temperature and so produces light that is somewhat yellowish in color. The housing runs hot to the touch but the compact fluorescent lamp used with this unit still provides 8,000 hours of lamp life.
