| Made in the USA The Larson Electronics EPL-JH-PMLED-6W-IR-150 Scaffold Mount Explosion Proof LED Light is UL Listed Class 1- Groups C and D and is rated for use in wet and marine environments. The adjustable rail/ladder mount and infrared LED lamp used with this unit provides operators with excellent power and efficiency coupled with high versatility and ease of use. This explosion proof LED light is mounted on our non-sparking extendible "backpack" mounting system allows operators to easily mount this unit to ladders, handrails, catwalks and other similar structures. This versatile mounting system gives operators an easily deployable source of powerful light that can be quickly setup and adjusted to effectively illuminate hazardous work areas, then easily stowed and transported between uses. This unit uses a 6 watt LED lamp that can be configured as a spot or flood beam. The LED lamp produces more light than a typical incandescent bulbs with infrared cutoff filters. The light produces a high powered infrared beam in the 750, 850, or 940 nanometer wavelength, compared to typical incandescent or halogen lamps and results in more effective use of energy and zero wasted light. The LED lamp runs at a cool 55 degrees Fahrenheit compared to the 198 degree average of a 300 watt incandescent, resulting in an easier to handle unit and less heat in the workspace. This unit`s durability, easy deployment, high power and good color rendering make it ideal for first responders and emergency services. | ||||
The lamp is mounted to an aluminum bracket with adjustable J-hook bottom bracket that enables operators to securely mount the light to any ladder or scaffolding. Lamp adjustment is via an adjustable yolk that allows the operator to adjust the lamp both vertically and horizontally. All hardware on this unit is non sparking/corrosion resistant and the included explosion proof cord is resistant to damage from chemicals and abrasion. Both shafts are independently adjustable, and can be removed from the center support bracket during transport or storage.
The rail mount system has a minimum grab length of 35" and maximum grab length of 57". The light head sits 21" above the top rail bracket, and can be extended to 41" above the top rail. Each rail hook is 3" wide, and the top rail brackets has a total footprint of 16". The light can be easily detached from the mounting system, aiding in deployment, storage and transport. The lamp assembly base stand allows this light fixture to work as a portable light when not mounted to the scaffold mounting system. The lamp can be easily adjusted up, down or from side to side and locked into position. The lamp housing is waterproof and constructed of thick copper free aluminum alloy, making it ideal for use in wet and marine environments.
The LEDs in this unit are highly resistant to damage from shocks or impacts, greatly reducing the chances of damage should the tower be knocked over, unlike incandescent lamps which may break or shatter. The LED lamp is rated at 50,000 hours of life providing up to ten years of regular service. The lamp is universal voltage, not multi-tap, and operates on any power source ranging from 120V through 277V AC 50/60Hz. This tank cleaning light is supplied with 150 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord ending in an explosion proof straight blade plug.
