|The EPL-LPL-40-R1-LED from Larson Electronics is a Low Profile Explosion Proof Light Fixture that provides operators with a powerful and energy efficient alternative to traditional hazardous location fluorescent luminaries. This explosion proof LED unit offers 7,147 lumens of 5,000K rated white light during use. The 46.5-watt LED fixture is IP66 rated and suitable for wet locations and paint spray booths. The Class I, II and III rated low profile explosion proof light fixture provides 7,147 lumens of high quality light while only drawing 46.5 watts. Equipped with angled LED boards, the unit features a clear lens and comes with a 5,000K color temperature rating. This LED light is a suitable replacement for the following fluorescent lamps: 1x55W BIAX, 2x28 T5, 2x32 T8, 2x36 T8, 2x40W BIAX and 2x54 T5HO. Power protection in the form of 20kV/10kA surge protection is available with this fixture. This explosion proof LED light is IP66 rated, corrosion resistant and protected against high pressure jets and temporary submersion. Designed for combustible sites, wet locations and paint spray booths, the copper-free housing ensures durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Voltage: The explosion proof LED light is universal voltage capable and can be operated with 120-277V AC, 50/60 Hz without modifications to the fixture. Wiring: This LED light fixture is equipped with terminal blocks for wiring connections. The wiring chamber can be accessed easily through a tool-less entry door. A total of three, 3/4" NPT hubs are available on the unit. Mounting: The EPL-LPL-40-R1-LED features a removable ceiling flush mounting component for seamless installation at the work site. T-slots are accessible for mounting via 5/16 or M8 bolt. There are also field-installed eye bolts for safety chain requirements.
