Made in the USA The EPL-ML-20F-4X150LED-RT Explosion Proof LED Light Tower from Larson Electronics is a mobile twenty foot three stage telescoping light tower equipped with four high output Class 1 Division 1 & 2 and Class 2 Division 1 & 2 Cree LED light fixtures producing approximately 70,000 lumens. This light tower collapses to twelve feet and features a removable mast head for storing mounted light heads when not in use. This explosion proof light tower is an ideal solution for operators who need a fully portable yet easy to operate light system capable of illuminating large areas within classified areas where flammable gases, vapors, and dusts exist or stand the potential to exist. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS* Larson Electronics’ EPL-ML-20F-4X150LED-RT telescoping steel light tower mast is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy four of our 150 watt explosion proof LED light fixtures to heights up to twenty feet for effective light coverage. This light boom can be extended to 20 feet for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 12 feet for applications where a footprint smaller than 12 feet is required. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing and section has a minimum of 1` overlap when fully extended. The mast is extended to its full height using an included 1,000 lbs hand winch with 3/16" galvanized cable. This is a heavy duty unit designed for use in demanding conditions and for overall longevity in difficult construction environments with heavy duty steel construction for maximum durability. We make this lighting solution in the United States. Larson Electronics tower lights are designed for industrial, commercial, emergency response, and military applications where the operators are working in harsh, destructive environments and the operators income or mission success are dependent on dependable, durable lighting. Included with this light tower are four of our Explosion Proof 150 watt LED fixtures producing a combined total of approximately 70,000 lumens at only 600 watts. Each fixture produces 17,500 lumens of high intensity light while drawing only 150 watts @1.25 amps from a 120 volt electrical system. These Explosion Proof LED light fixtures are Class 1, Division 1 & 2, Groups C & D and Class 2, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups E, F & G rated for use within the most demanding hazardous locations. The lights are wired to an  explosion proof junction box at the base of the tower, and 10 foot of SOOW cable terminated in an explosion proof 2-pole 3-wire pin and sleeve cord cap is included.
The light tower features an extendable tower assembly that can be adjusted from to 20 feet in height for maximum coverage. A single hand crank allows operators to easily raise or lower the tower as needed, and a removable lamp mounting platform allows removal of the lamp assembly for easier transport and storage. The tower is constructed of heavy gauge steel for durability, and a tough powder coat finish provides protection against rust and corrosion. The base of the tower is fitted with four solid wheels to allow easy positioning; the operator can simply roll it into the desired location as needed. Once the tower is positioned, the four stabilizing outriggers are extended from the side of the base platform for leveling the tower before deployment. This tower is fitted with four explosion proof 150 watt LED lamps producing a combined total of approximately 70,000 lumens in a wide flood pattern. The lamps feature a finned aluminum housing to dissipate heat and tempered glass lens for resistance to heat and shocks. Each lamp is mounted to the tower arm via a trunnion style U-bracket which allows operators to adjust each lamp independently for optimal light dispersion. Each individual explosion proof LED light fixture features multiple LED drivers which helps to increase the operational life of the fixture. With traditional LED lights, in the event an LED array or driver fails, the entire fixture no longer illuminates. This new series of LED lamps contains twelve individual LED boards configured in a series of banks. Each bank contains two LED boards with an individual driver. In the event of a driver failure, only one bank of LEDs will be effected while the other banks will continue to operate. In the event that of an LED failure, the mating LED will continue to operate. Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional lighting.
