Made in the USA The EPL-PM-1X70LED-120X12I-100 from Larson Electronics is an Explosion Proof LED Light with booted inline transformer is UL Listed Class 1 Groups C and D, and is rated for use in wet and marine environments. The waterproof construction and LED lamp used with this unit provides operators with excellent power and light quality coupled with high versatility and excellent durability. The EPL-PM-1X70LED-120X12I-100 Pedestal Mounted Explosion Proof Light with booted inline transformer provides a beam that is 750 feet long by 110 feet wide with 6,020 lumens of light output. The 70 watt LED lamp in this unit produces more illumination than a 150 watt halogen lamp, runs cooler, lasts far longer, and produces better color rendering and object contrast. This portable unit is waterproof and tested to 500 hours of salt spray exposure in accordance with MIL-F-8115C Military Specifications. An included inline transformer steps down 90-305V AC 50/60Hz or 127-431V DC current to 12V DC to provide a low voltage lighting solution for areas where low voltage operation is preferable.

Light Head Information: The LED10W-70 LED light emitter from Larson Electronics produces 6,020 lumens of light while drawing only 70 watts @5.84 amps from a 12 volt electrical system. Seven CREE XLamp MC-E® ten watt LEDs producing 860 lumens each are paired with high purity optics to produce a 20 degree spread spot beam approximately 750` long by 110` in width. We also offer floodlight versions with a 40 degree beam spread to provide more light over a larger area nearer the fixture, making flood versions ideal for use as work lights. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Cree Specific: This lamp uses Cree LED units that have been chosen for their high lumen per watt ratio and extreme longevity. These Cree LEDs generate a robust 86 lumens per watt effective lumen output and have a 70% lumen retention at 50,000 hours, giving them better efficiency and operational life than traditional light sources. Heat Management: Heat is the single largest factor in premature LED failure and color shifting. These LED units contain advanced drivers which use pulse width modulation to control heat buildup rather than simple voltage regulators which are typically harsh on sensitive electronics and can contribute to early LED failure. These units automatically sense the temperature of each LED and adjust the energy frequency or "duty cycle" accordingly to maintain heat levels within acceptable ranges. This system in essence flashes current at an extremely fast on and off rate to each LED based upon the LED`s core temperature. This flash rate is too fast to detect with the human eye, but provides precise control of the current flowing to each LED and thus the heat it generates. This allows the LEDs to be driven at up to 90% capacity without overheating or visible loss of light output. The LEDs are always driven at the same voltage but the duty cycle, however, is changed to alter how long the LEDs are actually on or off. The end result is more light with less heat and longer LED life with an average 70% lumen maintenance after 50,000 hours. PWM Control: The pulse width modulation drivers in this unit also provide secondary benefits through the ability to automatically monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. These LED10W-70 series light bars can operate on current ranging from 10 to 32 VDC without any modifications necessary as a result. This ability to sense and adjust input current also provides protection against voltage spikes and drops that can occur in boat electrical systems which would otherwise result in burning up or premature LED failure without it. Durability: As well as unparalleled heat control, this series of LED boat lights from Larson Electronics also offers IP68 waterproof rated construction that is designed to withstand extremes of environmental and operating conditions. These units can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40 degrees Celsius to 125 degrees Celsius, are waterproof to three meters, and resist ingress of dust, dirt and humidity. The CREE XLamp MC-E® LEDs help these units achieve 15.6Grms rated resistance to vibrations and are rated at 70% lumen maintenance after 50,000 hours of use. We recommend these LED lights for use in marine applications where a lot of vibration, salt water, dampness and abusive weather conditions are encountered. This portable explosion proof LED light fixture is comprised of a 70 watt LED equipped light head mounted atop a circular pedestal base. The entire unit is fabricated from cast aluminum and is factory sealed and water tight. This unit requires no external seals, has a built in carrying handle, and the light head can be adjusted through 135° of vertical movement. The yoke is formed of high strength aluminum alloy, the lens is thermal shock and impact resistant glass, and the entire housing is formed of cast aluminum with an aluminum enamel coating. The 70 watt LED lamp in this unit produces more lumens than a 150 watt halogen lamp. At 5500K color temp, the light from this unit is bright white in contrast to the yellowish hue of the standard halogen incandescent bulb.
