| The Larson Electronics EPL-PN-12L-V1 is an Explosion Proof Air-powered Pneumatic LED Light for combustible sites. This no-electricity unit utilizes compressed air to generate illumination. Constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, the MSHA-approved LED lamp comes with 33` of air hose. The EPL-PN-12L-V1 provides reliable illumination in flammable facilities without using electricity. Powered by compressed air, this intrinsically safe unit accepts an air pressure range of 40 psi to 120 psi (1.5 cfm 43 l/min to 13.1 cfm 371 l/min air consumption). The strength of the air pressure determines the intensity of the LED light, with an output range of 430 lumens @ 40 psi to 6,025 lumens @ 120 psi. Voltage range is 8.4V to 13.1V, while decibel values range between <40 to 60. This explosion proof unit is constructed of aircraft grade aluminum for durability. The light is also nickel plated for protection against sparks. This LED lamp is flame resistant, MSHA approved and anti-static. It is suitable for Class I, Division 1 & 2 and Class II, Division 1 & 2 rated work sites. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Hose: The EPL-PN-12L-V1 comes with 33` of yellow air hose, equipped with a coupling and 1/2" male pipe thread at the end for seamless connections. Mount: The EPL-PN-12L-V1 features a heavy-duty magnetic base, which facilitates surface, wall or ceiling mount requirements. During installation, operators can engage a lever to lock the magnetic base in place.
