Made in the USA The EPL-SL-3-LED-TXF-220V from Larson Electronics is an Explosion Proof String Light Set that is Class I Division 1 Groups C and D approved and is ideal for general close work and inspection activities in hazardous locations requiring explosion proof protection. The EPL-SL-3-LED-TXF-220V features an inline transformer that steps down 220-240 V, 50/60 Hz line-in voltage to the 24 volts required to operate the lamps. Twenty feet of cord is included between the transformer and the first lamp with ten feet of spacing between each lamp. *PLEASE NOTE: THE TRANSFORMER MUST BE LOCATED OUTSIDE THE HAZARDOUS LOCATION* This explosion proof string light set from Larson Electronics contains a total of three 10 watt work lights equipped with aluminum hooks and connected in series along 30 feet of 12/3 SOOW explosion proof cord. A molded T junction is mounted every ten feet, with 3 feet of 14/3 SOOW cord connecting a single drop light to the 12/3 SOOW backbone. The cord on this unit is terminated with a choice of 220 V cord caps. Please make your selection below when ordering. With this arrangement, each drop light cannot spark if pulled apart or dragged. A 20 foot section of 16/3 SOOW cord connects the first lamp and the transformer while a 10 foot tail section of 16/3 SOOW cord is included to allow ample length for connection to power sources.

LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. This unit incorporates three explosion proof LED hand lamps connected in series and is suitable for use in areas where petrochemical vapors and various dusts are present. The machined aluminum housings, cast aluminum guard, tempered glass lamp globe, and abrasion resistant cord make this a very durable unit that will resist damage from chemicals, abrasion, vibrations and impacts. This string lighting solution will provide the lighting you require in a flexible, easy to manage configuration. The hand lamps can be moved around and hooked to different points on your scaffold. The lights, however must remain within 10 feet of one other. Each molded T section contains a hook eyelet, allowing operators to suspend the entire backbone off the ground and out of the work space.

Wiring/Plug: This explosion proof LED string light set is equipped with 10 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. An additional 20 feet of 16/3 cord is outfitted between the transformer and first lamp with 10 feet of 12/3 SOOW spacing between each individual lamp. Plug options include standard 6-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 220-240V wall outlets with ground, standard 6-20 20 amp straight blade plug for 220-240V wall outlets with ground, NEMA L6-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 240V twist lock outlets, NEMA L6-20 20 amp twist lock plug for 240V twist lock outlets, British BS1363 13 amp fused 3-blade plug for United Kingdom outlets, or a two pin 16 amp rated Schuko plug with ground contact and socket for European outlets up to 250V. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps. Please choose pigtail option below for flying leads with no plug. This stringer light set is Class I, Division 1 rated for Groups C and D and Class II, Division 1 Groups F and G. This unit is configured to operate on 220-240 V, 50/60Hz current that is stepped down via an inline transformer to the 24 V required to operate the lamps.
