' Product Overview '
Made in the USA The EPL-TL-2X60.RD2-C-PA-B Explosion Proof Signal Light with Audible Alarm from Larson Electronics is approved for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 Groups B, C, D hazardous environments. This 120-watt unit features two explosion proof LED fixtures and a 55-tone explosion proof horn. Lamp color combination options include the following: red/amber, red/green or red/red. The EPL-TL-2X60.RD2-C-PA-B is a Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 Groups B, C, D signal stack lamp for rugged applications. This unit, which is suitable for hydrogen processing facilities, consists of two explosion proof LED signal lamps and one explosion proof horn for audible alarms. This system operates on 120V AC or 24V DC configurations for standard or low voltage operation. The 120-watt AC LED fixtures (60 watts per LED lamp) provide up to 11,400 lumens of illumination (5,700 lumens per LED lamp). The EPL-TL-2X60.RD2-C-PA-B is protected by durable Pyrex globes and cast aluminum globe guards for added durability, and offers cool operation with clean, bright output. The LED lamps are colored LEDs instead of colored globes, providing more light output. We offer strobe or steady burn lamps for this fixture. The light housing is constructed of a polyester powder coated, copper free aluminum casting that can withstand 1,490 pounds PSI hydrostatic pressure. This stack light is equipped an explosion proof horn, made out of heavy-duty zinc alloy. Attached to the far end of the fixture, this audible horn provides operators with up to 55 different tones that can reach a peak output range of 96-100 dBA, powerful enough to be heard over industrial operations. A NEMA 4X rated explosion proof junction box protects the internal wiring and can be tapped in order to connect this stack light to power sources.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Wiring/Mounting: Operators can complete wiring connections through a 3/4" NPT conduit access hub. Mounting is provided by a heavy gauge aluminum base with predrilled holes designed to be bolted to walls and flat surfaces for permanent and secure attachment. Power is provided by individual conductors to allow independent operation of each lamp and tone combination. Operators can tap the C1D1 junction box in order to connect to a power source. Note on Lights: Please note, the color choices and light configuration of this unit can be customized to your requirements. We offer steady burn or strobing LED lamps, as well as high or low voltage configurations. Please contact us for special color configurations. Applications: Industrial warning system, hydrogen processing, flammable work sites, oil and gas, chemical plants, petrol processing, gas stations, laboratories, safety systems, warehouses and more.
