' Product Overview '
Made in the USA The EPLFL-26W-P-LED from Larson Electronics is a Hazardous Area LED Work light that is UL Listed Class I Division 1 Groups C and D and is ideal for close quarter work and inspection activities in hazardous locations requiring explosion proof protection. The EPLFL-26W-P-LED includes the light head only. NO cord or cord cap is provided. This 20 watt explosion proof work light from Larson Electronics produces 1800 lumens of white illumination. The EPLFL-26W-P-LED fluorescent drop light uses a LED bulb to produce light which removes the need for an inline ballast assembly. The lamp body is constructed of high strength nylon and aluminum internals which helps to reduce weight and improve durability. There are no exposed metallic components. This hazardous location hand lamp is Class I, Division 1 and Class II Division 1 hazardous location environment approved. This lamp features an integral mounting hook for easy light placement.
This 20 watt LED light operates on 120-277 V AC, 50/60 Hz and is suitable for use in areas where petrochemical vapors and various dusts are present. The lamp produces 1,800 lumens of light, roughly equivalent to a 150 watt incandescent bulb as estimated by Sylvania. LEDs are directional by nature, which help to keep the light out of the operator`s eyes and focus more of the light on the subject area. LED lights are popular in paint prep, painting and post-paint inspection operations due to the even white color light produced. Incandescent lights tend to create yellowish, shadowy light that confuses the eye and makes it difficult to examine a work area with consistency. The light output, color and evenness of coverage make LED lights popular for a wide variety of close quarter work and inspection activities. Voltage: The drivers in this unit provide the ability to automatically monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. These light towers can operate on current ranging from 100 to 277V AC without any modifications necessary as a result. This ability to sense and adjust input current also provides protection against voltage spikes and drops that can occur in electrical systems which would otherwise result in burning up or premature LED failure without it. This explosion proof hand lamp is relatively easy to relamp. Set screws hold the 2 piece plastic cover in place over the aluminum core. Once the plastic covers are unscrewed, the bulb is revealed. The bulb is encapsulated within a glass dome, which is enveloped by the plastic outer housing. An aluminum ring is screwed into place over the lip of the dome and a o-ring style gasket ensures the seal. Once the glass dome and seal are removed, the operator can replace the 4-pin compact fluorescent bulb.
