| The Larson Electronics EPNFDS-500A-3P Explosion Proof Non Fused Disconnect Switch ensures electrical safety in Class I, II and III rated facilities. This 3-pole, 500-amp explosion proof disconnect switch features an external handle. Constructed of copper-free aluminum with stainless steel hardware, the NEMA 4X rated unit is compatible with surface-mounting applications. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO EXPLOSION PROOF ENCLOSURES* The EPNFDS-500A-3P is designed for use in flammable work environments. This 500-amp non-fused unit is rated at 600V AC (maximum). The internal circuit breaker handle mechanism is a sliding plate type mounted to the cover. The circuit breaker is trip free of the external handle mechanism. For superior security, the external on/off lever can be locked into the "off" position with room for up to three padlocks. The ATEX/IECEx rated explosion proof disconnect switch is constructed of copper-free aluminum with stainless steel hardware and features a rectangular bolted cover design for uniform and attractive installations. The cover bolts and hinges are made from stainless steel. A NEMA 4X rating provides protection against corrosion from water and the formation of ice, the ingress of dust and external foreign objects. Hubs: Operators may access two NPT hubs on the enclosure for completing electrical connections. One 3" NPT hub is located at the top of the unit; and one 0.5" NPT hub can be found at the bottom of the explosion proof disconnect. Mounting: The EPNFDS-500A-3P is compatible with surface mounting applications. Bi-directional mounting lugs ensure tight and secure installations. Applications: Petroleum refineries, hazardous locations, chemical and petrochemical plants, storage areas, and combustible processing facilities where hazardous substances are handled or stored. |
