| The EPS-DCSW-30A-600V-1.5INÂ from Larson Electronics is a Non-fused Explosion Proof Disconnect Switch that is suitable for electrical safety and motor disconnects in combustible environments. Lock out, tag out capable and rated at 600 V AC, this 3-pole unit features a lockable operating handle and a compact design. Constructed of copper-free aluminum, operators can mount the 30-amp explosion proof disconnect switch on walls and surfaces using fixed lugs at the back of the enclosure. The EPS-DCSW-30A-600V-1.5INÂ is a non-fused disconnect switch for flammable work sites. This 3-pole unit is rated at 600V AC and features a handle for quick disconnection that is lockable to prevent tampering. A compact design ensures the 30-amp disconnect switch provides space-saving benefits. The explosion proof disconnect switch is constructed of copper-free aluminum, with 316 stainless steel cover bolts and a silicone O-ring gasket. With conduit entrances located at the top and bottom of the NEMA-rated enclosure, the unit is compatible with #14 - 2 AWG terminal lug sizes. This explosion proof disconnect is designed for Class I, Divisions 1 & 2; Class I, Zones 1 & 2; Class II, Divisions 1 & 2; and Class III combustible sites. The EPS-DCSW-30A-600V-1.5INÂ can be securely mounted on walls or surfaces. Fixed lugs at the back of the explosion proof unit are available for mounting during installation. Lock Out / Tag Out: Lock Out, Tag Out (LOTO) is the process of ensuring dangerous machines or equipment are completely shut off and unable to be started again until maintenance or repairs can be completed. Proper LOTO requires hazardous energy sources (electricity, gas, pressure, etc.) to be "isolated and rendered inoperative" prior to any work beginning on the specific equipment. A lock is then secured on the isolated power sources along with a tag that identifies the worker who placed it. That worker then keeps the key on their person ensuring no one else can start up the equipment. The EPS-DCSW-30A-600V-1.5INÂ is equipped with lock out, tag out holes that allow for proper safety precautions to be taken before maintenane or repair work begins on dangerous equipment and machinery. Please note that this unit does NOT come with a lock or tag. It is LOTO-ready, but operators must provide their own locks, keys, and tags.
