| The Larson Electronics EPSB-2XO-60A Explosion Proof Splitter Outlet is suitable for completing power connections in Class I, Divisions 1 & 2 work sites. This unit allocates line-in power to two, 60-amp explosion proof receptacles (rated at 125/250V). All critical components are protected by a heavy-duty junction box. Hub size options include 1" or 1.25". The EPSB-2XO-60A is ideal for operators seeking a high-quality power connector, for use in Class I hazardous locations. This unit features two, 60-amp explosion proof receptacles, both rated at 125/250V, in a double gang configuration. During operation, operators bring line-in power to the junction box using a customer provided cord. Line-in power that is being fed into the unit is distributed to the two explosion proof receptacles, allowing workers to use both outlets simultaneously. Any arcing is safely contained with the interior of the outlet and junction box. The receptacle contacts are deep recessed to avoid accidental contact and will not be energized by non-explosion proof plugs to preserve explosion proof protection in hazardous environments. Ordinary location pin and sleeve cord caps will NOT activate this explosion proof connector. The EPSB-2XO-60A is constructed of copper-free aluminum. This unit is designed to withstand explosive and corrosive conditions, such as those found in docks and shipyards, and comes with a spring loaded receptacle door to prevent the ingress of water and contaminants when the unit is not in use. Seal off is provided, along with the chico fiber/powder mix to fill the seal off. Inter-Compatibility: These plugs are are cross-interchangeable with Appleton Powertite, Crouse Hinds Arktite, and Hubbell-Killark KR series plugs and receptacles. Due to possible manufacturer changes we cannot guarantee interchangeability although we have made every effort to ensure cross compatibility correctness. Applications: Petroleum refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, paint spray booths, food manufacturing buildings and other facilities where Class I, Division 1 & 2 hazardous substances are handled or stored.  |
