The EXP-1L-LE6-1XRH from Larson Electronics is an Explosion Proof Emergency LED Remote Light Head that is designed to tie into existing emergency lighting systems in hazardous areas and flammable facilities. The EXP-1L-LE6-1XRH produces 33 lumens of total output while drawing only 1.1 total watts. This unit operates on 12V and includes a seal-off. *Please note that this remote light head does NOT have an internal battery of its own.* The EXP-1L-LE6-1XRH explosion proof emergency LED remote light head is ideal for tying into existing emergency lighting and exit sign systems located within hazardous areas when additional illumination is needed. This remote light head allows users to illuminate the doorway under an existing emergency exit sign, a nearby exit route, or simply provide more light to the general vicinity surrounding the sign. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
