Made in Texas The Larson Electronics EXP-DRW Explosion Proof Dimmable Rotary Switch is Listed Class I Division 1 & 2 Groups C & D, Class II Division 1 & 2 Groups E, F and G and Class III. This 0-10V dimmable explosion proof switch provides a safe and secure method for operators to adjust the brightness of explosion proof lights connected to the switch in order to best accommodate the situation or workplace while maintaining safety within hazardous environments. NOTE: This 0-10V Explosion Proof Rotary Dimmer Switch only works to adjust the brightness level of connected lights. It does not power lamps on or off. This explosion proof rotary dimmer switch is ideal for operators seeking a high quality explosion proof switch rated for use in hazardous areas designated Class I Division 1 & Class 2 Groups C & D, Class II Division 1 & 2 Groups E, F and G and Class III environments. The entire unit is constructed of copper free cast aluminum. This unit is easily wall mounted via integral mounting tabs at two corners of the housing. Operators can choose between two hub sizes of either 1/2" or 3/4" and either a feed through or dead end configuration. This unit is suitable for use in environments where combustible dusts and particulates may be present as well as any other hazardous locations. This explosion proof dimmable rotary switch offers operators smooth, flicker-free dimming of lights for precise control of brightness level while maintaining the power delivered to the lamp. The EXP-DRW explosion proof dimmer switch also works to save energy while dimming reducing energy costs and helping to extend the life of the connected lamp. The EXP-DRW 0-10V dimmable rotary switch also features surge protection technology, advanced heat sinks to extend the service life of the switch and protection from possible interference from radios and other equipment. The unit is also very user friendly as the position of the rotary dial indicates the perceived light level. This rotary dimmer switch is compatible with explosion proof dimmable light fixtures with V+ and V- dimming control wires. This dimmer is not compatible with voltage dimming, the driver/ballast must have 0-10V control wires for dimming to be compatible.   The EXP-DRW explosion proof switch cover and housing box is constructed of copper free cast aluminum for superior performance and durability. These dimmer switches are not factory sealed and require external sealing fittings. Two external mounting lugs provide simple and secure mounting of the unit to walls and flat surafces. This explosion proof switch is available with either 1/2" or 3/4" NPT tapped hubs. The conduit openings are provided on the top and bottom of the unit in feed through versions while dead end versions have a single conduit hub, providing easy and secure connection to main power line supplies. Suggested Applications: Manufacturing, Industrial, Warehouse, Lighting, Lighting, Wet areas or Locations Where Combustible Dust is Present.
