LED Benefits:
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
The 28 watt LED lamps produce 30% more illumination than standard T8 bulbs while offering lower amp draw and increased reliability. Each lamp produces 3,500 lumens at 125 lumens per watt, for a combined 7,000 total lumen light output. An EPL-EMG-48-2L-T8 explosion proof fluorescent light, with a combined total of 64 watts, draws 0.54 amps at 120 volts AC. This LED version of the same light, with a total of 56 watts, draws only 0.47 amps at 120 volts AC. The EPL-EMG-48-2L-LED is universal voltage, not multi-tap, and operates on any voltage from 120V to 277V AC 50/60hz without any modifications. We also make a 12/24V AC/DC version for low voltage applications for AC or DC power.

Our EPL-EMG-48-2L-LED LED light fixture is NRTL Listed for United States and Canada approved for use in paint spray booths. Please note, according to the NEC, using threaded rigid pipe does not require additional seal offs with this fixture. An EYM and seal off is necessary for flex conduit or other non-rigid pipe implementations.
Mounting Options:
Unless otherwise specified, our standard, most popular configuration is the bracket end mounting shown enlarged below. We also offer a pendant mount for those needing to suspend the fixture away from the ceiling surface (i.e. suspend from pipe or conduit). Additional mounting configurations can be customized to meet various operating requirements. Please contact us for special mounting configurations.
Adjustable Surface Mount Brackets:
Each bracket is cinched to the bracket mounting peg on each side of the light. The angle of the bracket is set by tightening two cap screws on either side of the bracket. The cap screws act as a set screw. The bracket itself is mounted via a single bolt hole at the top the bracket. There are two brackets, one on each end of the light. Once the brackets are mounted to a surface (ceiling, floor or wall), the light fixture can be removed from the brackets by loosening the cap screws that hold the bracket to the mounting peg.
Suspension Mounting:
Pendant mount fixtures hang from the ceiling and are suspended by rigid pipe. Each fixture features a 1/2†NPT junction box on one end, and a 1/2†NPT adjustable L-bracket on the other end of the fixture. Operators bring rigid pipe down to the threaded mounting hubs. Wiring is fed down through the rigid pipe to the junction box and tied in to the fixture’s lead wires, completing the electrical connection. The adjustable L-shape mounting bracket provides support for the opposite end of the fixture.

This explosion proof camera provides a crisp and clear image for everything within the 83° focal area, allowing businesses and persons with access (local/state officials, operation managers, inspectors, etc.) to view the workplace in real-time. Total distance is dependent on mounting height and angle.
The explosion proof unit does not come with built-in infrared lights. To use infrared-light related features, such as capturing images in dark and low-light conditions, an external infrared light must be used with the explosion proof device. For 12-24V DC applications, we recommend the Larson Electronics 12-watt explosion surface-mount infrared LED light (
EXHL-TRN-LE3-IR-1224
). As an alternative, we also offer the
EXHL-TRN-LE3-IR-1227
for 120-240V AC applications.
This remote inspection camera utilizes 120dB true Wide Dynamic Range, 3D Digital Noise Reduction and a true day/night IR-Cut Filter Removal to produce clear images in variable and low light conditions. The camera automatically switches from full color to IR mode when visible light falls below a certain level.
Wiring:
Link-up with the camera is achieved via a customer provided RJ45 Ethernet cable which is ran back to the customer provided DVR system mounted outside the hazardous location. Camera power is delivered via the same Ethernet cable using Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology. This not only increases flexibility in deployment, but also provides time and cost savings as well.
Our explosion proof cameras with Power over Ethernet (PoE) features enable data transfers and power to be passed through a single Ethernet cable that is usually a Cat 3/Cat 5 cable or better. There are several types of PoE, which come with their own respective standard and maximum power to port capabilities. The IEEE 802.3af PoE standard, with a voltage range of 44.0 - 57.0V, offers 15.4W of DC power for each port. The IEEE 802.3at PoE standard, with a voltage range of 50.0 – 57.0V, provides up to 30W of DC power per port, which is ideal for surveillance cameras, antennas and network access points. The IEEE 802.3bt PoE standard, with a voltage range of 50.0 – 57.0V, provides 60W of DC power for each port. In order to utilize PoE properly, the components, such as the receiving unit and sending device, must be PoE compliant.
Recording:
To record the stream from this camera, a NVR (network video recorder) is required. Larson Electronics provides a line of explosion proof, hazardous location and non-classified NVRs for BHO/THC/CBD extraction facilities, which work in conjunction with this explosion proof camera. This camera is live-view capable without any NVR system via remote access to the camera.
C1D1 Explosion Proof Outlet Features:
The EXP-EXTRM-CKT-20F.HQ-V2 includes one explosion proof outlet for power connections. This 20 amp rated power receptacle is ideal for operators seeking a high quality, wet area rated power receptacle suitable for use in industrial and manufacturing applications. The 5-20R receptacle is constructed of copper-free aluminum and the housing is malleable iron. The unit is factory sealed and any arcing is safely contained with the interior of the receptacle. The receptacle contacts are deep recessed to avoid accidental contact and will not be energized by non explosion proof plugs to preserve explosion proof protection in hazardous environments. Ordinary location plugs will
NOT
activate this explosion proof receptacle.
C1D1 Exhaust Fan:
The EXP-EXTRM-CKT-20F.HQ-V2 includes a dual-speed explosion proof fan to ensure active air circulation inside the mobile extraction room. Equipped with two speed settings, the unit contains high velocity gravity activated wall shutters with intake filter. The first speed setting is designed for continuous operation at 970 CFM exhaust. The second speed setting is activated upon sensing 20% LEL and will increase circulation to 4,960 CFM exhaust. The second speed setting is triggered by alarm conditions (activated by a gas sensor), which quickly removes flammable concentrations to prevent explosions. Our solution is currently the highest CFM container kit on the market.
HVAC System:
This cannabis extraction lab comes with a 3-ton HVAC system for cooling during operation. The HVAC unit features an Energy Star rated capacity compressor for increased efficiency, quieter operation and improved reliability. The wall-mounted cooling unit features thermostatic and humidity control with overall reduction in compressor cycling for greater system lifespan. We can add factory accessories to the HVAC system to meet certain project or operating requirements at an additional cost.
C1D1 Explosion Proof Network Camera Features:
The EXP-EXTRM-CKT-20F.HQ-V2 includes one
EXPCMR-CER-IP-POE-4MP-IR
explosion proof network camera. This explosion proof, dust/ignition proof, weather proof and tamper resistant camera provides the operator with a live feed from inside the extraction room.
The EXPCMR-IP-POE-4MP-IR Network Explosion Proof Camera features a built-in 1/3" progressive-scan CMOS image sensor that delivers up to 4.0MP resolution at 20 fps. The wide angle fixed lens with 83° field of view is designed to cover large areas, including mobile labs and temporary extraction rooms.
Three streams are available, one main stream for recording and two sub streams for live viewing or additional resources. Each stream can be configured to different resolutions and frame rates.
Mounting:
The EXPCMR-CER-IP-POE-4MP-IR Network Explosion Proof Camera features an ATEX/IECEx certified copper-free aluminum alloy body and weighs a total of 6 pounds. The camera includes an adjustable rear-mounted polished stainless steel mounting bracket/handle. Additional accessory pole mounts and magnetic mounts are available separately.
C1D1 Hydrocarbon Sensor Features:

This sensor is intended to be paired with one of the included ventilation fans to turn the fan on when a high concentration of butane or propane is detected within the extraction room. This hydrocarbon sensor can be set to either detect butane or propane. It CANNOT detect both at once. The operator selects their choice on the unit itself.
The EXP-SNR-TG-EC-ITS-ALG-HC200 Explosion Proof Alcohol Sensor from Larson Electronics is a toxic gas sensor that is configured to detect hydrocarbon vapors of Methane, Butane, Propane, or Pentane within a 0-200ppm (parts per million) concentration, and includes an electrochemical transmitter, an integral sensor holder and non-digital output. An LCD graphics display shows gas concentrations in large, easy to read numbers and also provides operators with alarm indication and menus to set up operating parameters. A backlight is available for use when 3-wire mode is used. This sensor also includes an internal data logger which stores measured gas values at intervals chosen by the user, which can be pulled up on the LCD screen at any point, or downloaded using an interface. This hydrocarbon sensor has non-intrusive operation, allowing operators to calibrate, view data, set up alarms and complete other tasks with a magnetic tool, eliminating the need to open the sensor's enclosure. All program settings are password protected. Also included with this sensor is a scalable 4-20 mA programmable output range, three internal alarm relays transmitter, and analog output set to user defined values for loop testing without needing to apply gas to the sensor.
The EXP-SNR-TG-EC-ITS-ALG-HC200 is fitted with a hydrocarbon gas sensor, which plugs directly to the transmitter. This gas sensor is used to detect a wide variety of hydrocarbon gases, which can be calibrated by the user based on application. This gas detector contains a sensor, amplifier and memory module in one unit, allowing it to be calibrated independently and plugged into any detector for immediate use with no adjustments needed.
