The specially designed mining headlamp is capable of illuminating distances up to 282`. Running on 3 AAA batteries, this unit features a rotary switch for quick activation with gloved hands. The luminary is offered in the following light color options: white or amber. The intrinsically safe LED headlamp offers intense illumination in hazardous locations, which includes gas processing facilities and mining sites. The portable luminary emits 132 lumens of light, reaching 282` with a runtime of 6 hours. The white light version is ideal for general, bright illumination, while the amber light variant is suitable for illuminating dark fog or thick smoke. Weighing 3.8 ounces, this luminary is extremely lightweight. Operators may activate the light using a rotary switch that is easily accessible with gloved hands. The EXP-LED-HL-405-MHL comes with several safety features for use in rugged, unpredictable hazardous locations. A screw design protects the battery component, giving operators safe and easy access to the compartment. The luminary features an adjustable headband for secure fittings on helmets or directly on heads. This intrinsically safe unit is ATEX/IECEx approved and IPX7 waterproof with a T4 temperature code. The portable headlamp is not MSHA-rated, but meets ATEX M1/M2 regulations for overseas mining operations.
