The FL-MK-LED-63 is a portable lighting solution for military applications and industrial sites. This battery-powered handheld device emits white light and offers three beam settings: high beam, low beam and strobing. During operation, the LED light offers 500 lumens/6,800 candela with a distance of 541.3 feet in high beam mode and 40 lumens/600 candela with a distance of 160.7 feet in low beam mode. A tail-located push button switch enables one-handed momentary and beam intensity selection. A programmable switch allows selection of up to three different programs: high/strobe/low (factory default), high only or low/high.
This unit is constructed of 6000 Series machined aircraft aluminum with a Type II Mil-spec anodized finish for durability. Equipped with a gasket-sealed glass lens, the weatherproof flashlight carries an IP-X7 water resistant rating. Package contents include the following components: LED flashlight, (2) CR123A batteries, pocket clip and nylon holster.
LED Benefits:
Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
Batteries/Runtime:
The FL-MK-LED-63 is powered by (2) C123A batteries - (not included) or (1) 18650 USB battery (included). When in use, this unit offers the following runtimes on two CR123A batteries: 2.75 hours (high beam mode), 30 hours (low beam mode) and 3.25 hours (strobing mode). The included 18650 battery is USB rechargeable outside of the flashlight and must be removed for charging. Compatible with other non-USB rechargeable 18650 batteries with external charging bank.
Mounting:
The battery-powered LED light features a gripped surface and a removable pocket clip for portability. For seamless storage, the unit comes with a nylon holster.
