The Larson Electronics GAU-48-160W-LED-10C General Use High Bay LED Light Fixture is a 4` linear integrated LED light fixture that provides 19,200 lumens of illumination. This low profile, highly efficient LED light fixture is a direct replacement for existing four lamp T5HO fixtures, providing twice the lamp life, increased durability, and less energy consumption. The energy efficiency and longevity of LEDs make this light option ideal for use in places requiring high bay illumination, such as warehouses, malls, parking garages, and other similar environments. This unit has ten feet of 16/3 SOOW cable terminated in a general area cord cap.
The GAU-48-160W-LED-10C integrated 160 Watt LED light fixture is a low profile linear light fixture that provides 19,200 lumens of bright light in a 160° wide flood beam spread. Special heat dissipating design in conjunction with LED technology helps this fixture to achieve an excellent 60,000 hour rated lifespan with 80% lumen retention. The GAU-48-160W-LED-10C is housed in aluminum casing and the LED assembly is protected by a shatter resistant polycarbonate lens. This unit is multi voltage, operating on 110-277 AC 50/60 Hz, and supplied with a 10` line-in cable with flying leads. We also offer a low voltage 12-24V AC/DC model for low voltage applications, such as off the grid and remote locations powered by alternative energy.
We have eliminated the ballast box normally associated with fluorescent fixtures which reduces overall weight and creates a slimmer unit profile. There is no ballast in this unit and the integrated LED assembly has a 50,000+ hour service life, both of which result in extreme efficiency and greatly reduced maintenance costs. The solid state design of LED technology give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibration, extremes in temperature, and a lamp life over twice that of standard fluorescent bulbs.
LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.
LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.
The integrated heat sink allows for efficient heat dissipation, preventing the LEDs from overheating and keeping the overall temperature of the fixture relatively low. Solid state LED technology eliminates the need for a ballast box and lamps, a cumbersome feature of fluorescent fixtures that add weight and require frequent repairs. This low profile light fixture features two adjustable brackets, providing operators with easy installation and allowing for adjustments of the light assembly.
Wiring/Plug:This general use high bay LED light fixture is equipped with 10 foot of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. Plug options include standard 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground, standard 6-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 220-240V wall outlets with ground, NEMA L5-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets, NEMA L6-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 240V twist lock outlets, British BS1363 13 amp fused 3-blade plug for United Kingdom outlets, or a two pin 16 amp rated Schuko plug with ground contact and socket for European outlets up to 250V. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps. This unit is designed to be either surface mounted or hung from cable or chain and includes built in mounts. The GAU-48-160W-LED light fixture is ideal for indoor-outdoor applications and suitable for use as general area lighting, shop lighting, work space lighting, garage and warehouse lighting, and anywhere a dependable and low maintenance fixture with high output and efficiency is needed. This light comes with a multi-purpose mounting bracket that can be used for a direct surface mount or reversed and used for chain hanging the unit.
