The GAUD-EMG-48-2X4-2XIPS.20-V2 from Larson Electronics is a Clean Room Fail Safe LED Light Fixture with emergency mode features. This powerful 40-watt LED light operates on 11-25V AC/DC, and is suitable for clean room applications. The Class 100/ISO-5-8 unit caters to 2x4 lay-in recessed mounting requirements. The GAUD-EMG-48-2X4-2XIPS.20-V2 is designed to provide high output and a durable lighting solution for clean room applications. This Class 100/ISO5-8 LED fixture can be operated on 11-25V AC/DC low voltage electrical current. During use, the unit produces 5,200 lumens of high-intensity LED light with color temperature options of 5000K, 4000K or 3000K along with a color rendering index of 75, which produces colors and details much more accurately than incandescent, halogen or fluorescent light fixtures. This LED fixture is offered in a spot or flood beam configuration. Emergency Mode: With an integrated emergency ballast, this clean room LED light will continue to illuminate for 90 minutes at 2,600 lumens and 20 watts once the main electrical power to the light is severed. Once standard electrical power is restored, the emergency battery pack will be recharged. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Mounting: This unit is designed for recessed, flange mounting and requires a 2x4 opening to be made in booth panels capable of accommodating the fixture's housing. Such configurations provide the maximum amount of space in clean room areas. Applications: ISO 14644 and FS-209E clean room applications that require little to no contamination including but not limited to medical applications, paint spray booths, aerospace, nuclear facilities, semiconductor plants, pharmaceutical centers, non-destructive testing (NDT), laboratories and any other applications that require ample lighting with little to no contamination within the work area atmosphere.
